Sunday → Caeli had a going away party for Lindsey, who is moving to LA at the end of the month. It was really fun, I almost didn't go because I was worried it'd be full of people I didn't know too well, but it wasn't, it was very small and I like everyone who was there. We had wine and hors d'oeuvers, and then Caeli made up a little quiz about Lindsey. It was all Hollywood-themed and its aim was to see who knew her best. Naturally, I won. And that was awesome to me because she has been friends with some of these people for way longer and I guess I just didn't realize how truly close I've gotten to her in the past year. Her dad was telling me that I had to stop over even after Lindsey was gone because he'd need some surrogate daughters to fill the void and I thought that was so sweet. I'm going to miss her but it will be fun to go visit. We also hacked our friend Kiel's facebook and streamed it to their flatscreen TV, and changed his name and his info and just generally died of lol.

Monday → I was going to have Lindsey and Jason over for House, but both of them ran late. I enjoyed the episode I suppose, but I wasn't too focused on it and there wasn't enough Cuddy - save for her dripping wetness. And I only mean the wetness that we saw. Jason came in the door literally the second that the credits ended, and I was like, "OMG FREAK ME OUT DID YOU DO THAT ON PURPOSE?!" and he was like, "Yeah, actually." I asked if he was serious and he said that YES, HE SAT IN MY DRIVEWAY FOR THREE MINUTES BECAUSE HE DIDN'T WANT TO INTERRUPT THE END OF MY SHOW. ARE YOU KIDDING ME ARE YOU KIDDING ME. ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ Oh my god! And then later, he was like, "OH~! I need my bag! I have something for you! Now, just to be clear, this is not a ~Valentine's Day~ present, it's just a present..." because he knows I hate Valentine's Day and he didn't make a big deal out of it BUT HE GOT ME A GORILLAPOD. SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP. BENDY TRIPOD >>> FUGLY EXPENSIVE BRACELETS, THANK YOU. Lindsey came over and she brought me a bottle of wine with a cut-out heart and "Happy Valentine's Day! I love you almost as much as I love House." AND IT WAS SO ADORABLE, OKAY. And then we sat on the couch and ate Fun Dip while we watched the V-Day ep of 30 Rock, screaming "HAPPY VALENTIMES!!1" We went to trivia and got second place, which means we got 50 free wings that none of us fucking like, lol. Woo-hoo!

Tuesday → Jason and I went to Dairy Queen and made them write "Fuck This Shit" on an ice cream cake. We got vanilla vodka and peppermint schnapps and made hot chocolate and watched game shows and also Very Bad Things all snuggled up in bed and it was so simple and fun, okay. It sucked though because we were sick, him more so than me so that put a damper on things. We took a four-hour nap at like 10pm lol.

"Do you want 'fuck' or 'shit'?" he asks.
Wednesday → My mom and grandma came over and MY GRANDMA IS THE CUTEST - AS A SURPRISE, SHE GOT MY PHOTOS FROM MY PAULA TRIP PRINTED. SHE HANDS ME THIS HUGE STACK OF THEM AND I CAN'T STOP YELLING "OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD" BECAUSE THERE IS SOMETHING SO DIFFERENT ABOUT HOLDING THEM. I NEVER EVEN KNEW. I remembered that I got this photo clip mobile hanging thing from Urban Outfitters awhile back, I THINK I SHALL LOAD IT WITH PAULA PICS AND HANG IT IN MY ROOM. We went out to dinner and then got chocolate malts and came back and watched My Strange Addiction, about some bitch who is addicted to eating cigarette ashes? Seriously? WTF.

Thursday → I got a job~ :/ Actually no, this is a huge :D :D :D because I am totally legit broke, but. It's a temp job, so it's only for like 2 weeks but they're looking to hire so there's potential for it to be longer. LOL I literally got a call the afternoon before and they were like, "We have a job for you starting tomorrow if you want it! You don't even need to interview, we have all your stuff and it'd be perfect!" LOL their old temp only lasted M/T/W before they canned her. How does that even happen. Before I got there I was hoping it'd just be the two weeks but EVERYONE IS SO NICE AND I GET TO USE PHOTOSHOP AT WORK. First I had to research a bunch of charity events and make a table out of the info, then I had to photocopy a bunch of shit, which was fine albeit a pain futzing with staple-removers and such, and then I had to re-label & re-logo floor plans in PS and also mount posters on foam core with the fun hot rolling machine slkadfha. No but everyone is so nice and I didn't realize how dysfunctional my old office truly was until I got to a big functional one. It pays more, too. When I went to leave, Kim said she had gotten good feedback all day and to keep doing what I'm doing and she was happy as shit and I kind of hope I get to stay there longer. Maybe even just steady part-time. IDK. Jason came over after work (also how precious is he - he knew I was averse to working so he offered to drive all the way out here in the morning just to make me breakfast before I had to leave.) and I was so happy to see him and I don't even know, we made a pizza and then we got in a huge fucking fight. Over artificial intelligence (seriously. I was bawling and it was horrible, he was insensitive and I was mean but at the same time, I love that these are the things we fight over). It needs its own entry later because I would love your thoughts and opinions on the issue in general anyway.

Friday → State dance competition! IT IS LIKE DANCER CHRISTMAS, I LOVE IT SO MUCH OMG. Ali drove up from Iowa and we went together, I was so happy to see her I love her so much. The top 12 teams danced, our girls were great but my photos were terrible. Seriously, it was some of the worst shooting of my life, lmao. BUT IT WAS HARD, OKAY. I had to use my zoom lens and it's heavy and they're moving so fast and it also doesn't help that my shutter was too slow and I didn't notice until they were done dancing because I don't have time to check photos in between and klsdjfkshaj. BUT I FIXED IT THOUGH. They brought the teams back out to announce the top 6 finalists, and I got possessed to run to the other end of the arena to get better photos. LIKE I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, SUDDENLY I WAS RUNNING and I thought, "They got it, otherwise your lazy ass would not have been compelled to do this". I get to the other end, and they call off the first five teams and they're not them. They call of the sixth team, and it's them. NOW, this is kind of a huge deal because our school moved up a category? So we compete against bigger schools now and it's harder. We didn't expect to go to finals at all. So oh my god, they were so happy:

Photos like these are what made me want to be a photographer. Seriously, I can trace it back to when we won and Steve was there and got shots of us winning, I treasure them more than anything and they made me realize that I wanted to be there for people in those moments like he was for me, I knew how much his photos meant to me and that I wanted to be that to somebody else. // Ali and I walked around downtown between categories, I love being down there. We found a bar and stopped in for happy hour. She also got some weird-ass rice burger and I got apple crisp and ice cream. ♥ We kept talking about how happy we were. We went back to the venue and the good news for them was that they got to dance again, AND THE GOOD NEWS FOR ME WAS THAT I GOT ANOTHER CHANCE TO SHOOT THEM LOLLL. To rectify past mistakes and that I did. They ended up getting 4th overall and that was so fucking klsdfhlka everyone was freaking out and it was so lovely to see. Also lovely to see - the team that did win is now coached by the same two women who coached us to our first State title, and there was always this animosity or something, but this past week I've noticed on facebook that they and Deanna have been talking and leaving notes of encouragement to each other and it was so fucking sweet so when their team won, our girls and our coaches were genuinely excited and happy for them and ran over to hug them and GOD IT WAS BEAUTIFUL TO WATCH. It was like everything was right in the world. And one of them used to teach Deanna, even (lol the dance world is so connected and interwoven, I can't even), and I had heard about shit that went down between them so to get photos of them hugging each other felt like one step closer to world peace. That sounds like an exaggeration, but seriously, that's how it felt. ♥ I shot their girls and their win to keep with the new spirit and also as an apology for being a pain in the ass and having an attitude when they were my coaches lol.

OKAY I AM CAUGHT UP NOW. I HOPE TO NOT LET THIS BECOME A RECURRING ISSUE.
