i've been away too long, & every day i missed you more. you look like you did before, only prettier.
I shot a dance thing last night, it was ~Parent Night~ so I did photos of all the girls with their parents and then also shot them practicing and performing. I saw Deanna, too - I have not seen Deanna since before her baby was born, you guys. Her baby is like, 9 months old. It was so sweet, she came running across the wood floor at me and hugged me for ages and she is one of the loveliest huggers I think I've ever met - she's never in a hurry, even if she is, and she's never the first person to let go. I couldn't help but think, again, how much she hugs like Paula Abdul. ♥ ♥ ♥ She talked about how weird it's been without me and, "I keep expecting you to walk through the door." I miss her, I miss dance, so much. BUT, it makes me so happy that I always have this home to come back to.
One of the girls on the team took this. She is so cute, she is always telling me on facebook how jealous she is of my camera and the pictures I take, so I knew it'd mean a lot to her if I asked her to take one of us. So she takes a normal one of us smiling, and then when we laugh for real afterward, she keeps shooting. And I get this. ♥ I can't even.
It was so much fun to shoot them performing, too. They were having so much genuine fun out there, there was a bigger spark than usual and I literally got goosebumps sometimes when my shutter clicked. It was unreal. I may spam you later but I haven't even touched or gone through them yet, and as usual, I have too many lol.
