(no subject)
This was probably the most annoying customer exchange I have ever had:
Me: *answers phone* [insert company], how may I help you?
Him: Yeah, this is [insert company that I just said]?
Me: Yes.
Him: (legit livid) WELL *MAYBE* YOU SHOULD ANSWER THE PHONE LIKE THAT SO I KNOW WHO I'M SPEAKING WITH.
Me: (joins him in lividness) I. DID. I SAID '[INSERT COMPANY], HOW MAY I HELP YOU.'
Him: I NEED TO SPEAK TO CUSTOMER RELATIONS.
Me: Are you looking to make a trade?
Him: NO!
WOW, OKAY, WHO PISSED IN YOUR CORN FLAKES THIS MORNING. No, seriously, I always answer the phone in exactly the same way. It is something I don't even think about anymore, it is so habitual, don't even tell me I didn't answer the phone like that. I almost cried. Not because he yelled at me for no reason, but because I literally could not even believe that members of our society are that fucking stupid. I hate not having any faith in humanity, moments like those absolutely crush me and I cry over stupidity more than you even know.
UGH. In other news, I listened to the radio all day (BTW, the Matt Nathanson & The Fray stations on Pandora are the greatest of them all) and I edited in my mind - I got goosebumps fucking EVERYWHERE. That's how I choose which songs to edit, you know. They have to give me goosebumps when I play the possibilities in my head. If they don't, they're a no go, no matter how perfect the lyrics or sound can be. Especially when I get them out the top of my head - it is far less common for me, and therefore always the mark of extreme emotion. It is my favorite thing ever and it was beautiful because it never stopped. I almost cried. Wow, lots of 'almost cry'ing today, maybe I'm PMSing.
I need a shower. Then I need to download Celebrity Apprentice because I missed it because I was too busy watching the LOST finale, which was strange since I have never seen LOST in my life, but I totally forgot about CA so we just had it on. WTF, self. IT IS SO INTERESTING THOUGH, BECAUSE LAST NIGHT AFTERWARDS, I DREAMT I WAS IN SCHOOL, AND I HAD TWO FINALS TO TAKE. I took my Logic final and then 20 minutes from the end of the time period, I realized I was taking the wrong final. So I totally freaked out. I didn't get why it was relevant until I was doing mail today and I was like "OMG. WOW. WOW. Finales/finals, I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE, SUBCONSCIOUS." ALSO!! I READ A FUCK TON MORE ARTICLES ON THE PSYCHOLOGY TODAY WEBSITE AND I NEED TO TELL YOU GUYS, EYESEX IS LEGIT REAL. THIS MAKES MY LIFE MAKE SO MUCH MORE SENSE, LOL.
