i need answers to questions I haven't yet figured out how to ask

[dream] I dreamt I was in a huge house, IDK. Then my dad and I were in the garage and I found a really tall tin can that I liked and wanted to display somewhere. So he pulled it off of the shelf and it turns out there was a huge tree growing out of it. I asked him if we could plant it and he said yes. His mom was in there and she said something about hoping to hear of an announcement of a new teenager sometime soon, and I was like, "LOL, you don't give birth to teenagers and you wouldn't want one anyway!" So we were walking around this house and there were SO many staff there it was ridiculous, cooks and police and people dressed all nice. There was a huge sledding hill, people were sledding on it, and I saw someone laying on their sled and not going fast enough so I ran and jumped on the back of it and then we went really fast. Down this hill, curving around the edge of a lake, there were cartoon characters tied together to make a finish line but we didn't cross it. Then I went back up and got outraged at how many people this family had working there, and I kind of went off. "DO YOU REALIZE THERE ARE EXACTLY TWICE AS MANY WORKERS HERE AS THERE ARE GUESTS?! LITERALLY! Oh, and if you don't like your job, here's a novel idea, FUCKING QUIT!" I stormed off to the front of the house, I guess there's a lake at the front, too, because I picked up an un-baited pole and was practicing my casting but it never went TOO far since there was no weight at the end of it. But I caught something with a bare hook. I didn't know if it was just underwater weeds or not, so after I set the hook I kind of relaxed to see if it'd move or pull on me - it did. So I reeled it in and found out it was this frog that I'd apparently always wanted ever since I was a little kid. And I knew it because he had the perfect spots or like, these two exact spots that I'd always looked for. So I have him at the end of my hook, and I walk back up the dock and keep dipping him in water so he can breathe (even though I'm pretty sure that IRL they can breathe out of water but whatever). I come to the owner of the house, and I'm freaking out because I need this little guy to live. So I apologize for what I said, how I yelled at him, etc, and he helps me start building a frog tank - we had a glass/plastic rectangle and he was filling it up with rocks and I was trying to put water in it, I found a cup on the shoreline but it was cracked and I couldn't pick up any water with it. I put the frog in the tank and then when I looked again, rocks had kind of slid over him so I had to dig him out again, hoping he wasn't crushed. He wasn't. But I'm pretty sure he was dead. His eyes were open and his limbs were floating straight out from him and I freaked out and we were on the phone with somebody and I don't remember but somehow we got a new frog, there were two in there but they were both dead now, and this house-owner was taking the hooks out of their mouth and I couldn't watch and almost threw up. But then these frogs, their limbs kind of floated around each other like they were hugging almost? And then they started swimming again. And then they turned into kids and their noses were always above water and their mouths were underneath it, there was a boy and he had a baseball cap on. [/dream]

What do you think this means? When I woke up I didn't know if it'd mean anything, like I had no idea why I'd dream about a frog but then I started thinking about how the spots on it were apparently the spots I'd always looked for and I thought that might have something to do with Derek, and then with it dying and all, too. THEN I looked up frog symbology and they talk about archetypes and Prince Charming and kissing toads to turn them into princes and now I'm kind of freaking out at my own subconscious, as usual. But there's a lot of stuff in there that I don't get (if only one frog had died and come back to life, I'd take that to mean he'd wake up IRL and fight to get me back, but it's like...? OHHHH maybe it's telling me that I need to find another frog to make him jealous before he becomes undead? IDK. But BOTH of them were dead before either of them came back to life. Also, why is there water on every side of this house, and how can you have snow on a sledding hill if it's warm enough to have water, and why was it a race with a finish line, what does all of this mean), I'm sure it's something but I don't want to think this hard right now.

boy - d, question for you, dreams
