SO. tenacious_err GETS ON MSN AND IS LIKE "GILLIANNNN" AND SO WE ARE FLAILING ABOUT GILLIAN AND SDLKJFHAS AND THEN AND THEN AND THEN SHE TELLS ME THAT SHE IS ON YOUTUBE AND JUST FOUND A "GA AND LE VIDEO SET TO CELINE" AND I WAS LIKE, UM, "LE AS IN LISA EDELSTEIN" AND SHE SAID YES AND LIKE WHAT THE HELL. I CANNOT EVEN DEAL WITH THE AWESOME.

But can I just say, in response to this:

I actually think that's not quite true. In my experience, a LOT of X-Philes, in picking up new shows beyond sci-fi genre ones like Buffy and Firefly, have developed also a keen interest in House. Which is FASCINATING to me, because I think there are tons of parallels especially if you're a House/Cuddy shipper. Both House and Mulder are ridiculously difficult, annoying geniuses with their own special charm and hidden depths of pain, Cuddy and Scully are the realistic, practical doctors (DOCTORS!) who have to rein their men back and bring them back to reality.

Actually, I find it hard to believe that people who have fangirled Gillian for years would not do the same for Lisa, if they gave House a chance - because both women are just incredibly gorgeous, and inspiring, and SMART. And the characters they play are just such awesome role models as well. To me, the combination is NATURAL.

LOL, did NOT mean to ramble there, sorry.

But if Gillian ever guest-starred on House, I would IMPLODE FROM THE AWESOME.

LOL TBH, I COMPLETELY FORGOT WHAT SHOWS THEY WERE ON FOR A SECOND. I've noticed that too - a lot of XF fans have since turned to House. And I love the House/Cuddy and Mulder/Scully parallels.

I guess what I meant is... idk. In order for me to vid someone, I have to be like, really in love with them. I'll probably have to make a post about this later, because I feel there's a difference between loving someone and fangirling them. At least for me. And while I've always loved Gillian, I've never "fangirled" her, in my sense of the definition of it. And I guess what I meant is I've never met anyone who fangirls both of these women with all of their being. lol. But it is a natural combination. I've just never really seen it put into perspective before.

Good distinction, and I know what you mean now - I would probably say, if I had to define it in a similar way, that I've fangirled Gillian more than I have Lisa, but that's really just splitting hairs. ;) I actually love them both and have flailed over them in no small measure - though perhaps not with ALL my being, LOL.
