I need a drink and a quick decision... Now it's up to me, what will it be?
Everyone ~apologized~, so we did go shopping. My sister found her dress before we even GOT there, so then we tried on swimsuits. And I've never had issues with swimsuits. Normally I will see one on a rack and DIE and then try it on and love it, which always worked out really well. WELL, I tried on a few, didn't like them, or they didn't fit right. The one that DID (OH MY GOD IT WAS BEAUTIFUL AND GREEN AND GOLD AND LIKE $200 BUT I WANTED IT SO BAD), though, had these rings on it that I just knew would hurt my collarbone. :( So I took it off and IT WAS ALREADY RED. FROM HAVING BEEN ON TWO MINUTES. So yes, I am swimsuitless.
OH then we went to Applebees AND HOLY SHIT FANDOM OVERLOAD. Right in the front door area, I saw the following: A huge ass Friends poster, a picture of teh Zeta in Zorro, a Wizard of Oz poster, AND OMG GEMMA - AN 'I WANT YOU' ARMY POSTER, I DIED OF LOL, and then Seinfeld (squee because Lisa was on it), and right UNDER Seinfeld was a Mad About You picture (squee because Lisa was on THAT, too, and also because Mulder compared him and Scully to them once), and then a Harry Potter poster, and this huge picture of Celine Dion. ALL. RIGHT. NEXT. TO. EACH. OTHER. I DIED.
Then, we went to look for jeans. And I can never fucking find pants ANYWHERE because they never fit. I've always had to get my pants at The Buckle, and it's never been TOO big of a problem. BUT GUESS WHAT. THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE MY SIZE ANYMORE. Their 37" inseam, the longest length they CARRY/MAKE is long enough (barely), but they don't even carry it at ALL for my waist measurement. It is so insanely unfair. So yes, I am jeansless. I managed to score a size 25x37.5" there once, but that must have been some anamoly because I've never seen one anywhere since. I'm a 26 now and THOSE don't even exist. So, anyone out there who feels like they might want to be tall? STOP. It is the biggest pain in the ass to find clothes.
Then we went to Express because I wanted to buy this star necklace (that they no longer have, apparantly). So I'm pissed that I'm missing American Idol for literally NOTHING. But omg omg omg then then then!! I found this cute brown sweater on sale AND THEN. I GOT. THIS BLACK DRESS. AND IT IS LIKE, MADE OUT OF BLOUSE MATERIAL AND IT GOES TO JUST ABOVE MY KNEES AND BUTTONS ALL UP THE FRONT AND IS LOW-CUT AND KJSDHFAKJHFA. I tried a pink one of it on first, but it was sewn really stupidly in the front and they didn't have another in my size. But the black one is cute too. (IT IS KIND OF LIKE THIS, EXCEPT IT BUTTONS ALL THE WAY DOWN AND THE BUTTONS ARE BLACK). Also!! I got this amazing tight gold dress that looked kind of stupid on the hanger, so I didn't give it a second look, until I saw some other girl wearing it in the dressing room. It looked like shit on her but I knew it would fit me really well SO I TRIED IT AND IT DID AND I BOUGHT IT. (and fail, they do not have it on their website). And I put it on and died. I am so vain. And I love it because my bod in it reminds me of Catherine Zeta-Jones in Intolerable Cruelty. I think. IDK. It just reminds me of her for some reason. I'll have to look through pictures. ANYWAY. YES. GOOD PURCHASES. Bad news, though, I don't know where to wear either of these new dresses.
Then Tiff called to flail about Paula having danced on AI, AND I MISSED IT, SO I COULDNT. I had to call her back because we ran into our friend Sue and we were all flaily. AND THEN, WE LOST OUR CAR. AND IT WAS COLD. But then we found it and LOL as we were pulling in, this song came on the radio and it was so old, and before the guy started singing I was like, "I know this song, I know this song, WHAT IS IT, I know this song, WHY?!" and THEN I WAS LIKE, "OH MY GOD CATHERINE ZETA-JONES COVERED THIS. WHAT IS THIS?! FOR ALL TIME? HE'S GONE?!" and it was totally He's Gone. IT WAS SO WEIRD/COOL. and then we died of LOL. ALSO!! When I was trying on swimsuits, I heard this song that I knew I recognized, and as soon as she got to the chorus, it was "Mr. Big Stuff". And I lost my shit. If anyone knows why this would cause me to flail and laugh my ass off, tell me, because I will love you and be really proud of you for knowing. BECAUSE IT MIGHT BE A LITTLE OBSCURE.
And now I have to go readdd for schoollll. NOOO. But omg if I read I'm going to watch P.S. I Love You. AND OMG! Because apparantly I can't go one day without talking about Juno now. BUT I FORGOT.
