OKAY SO LIKE, last summer? When I was first getting into House? (I declared myself officially obsessed on August 8th, btw) I had planned to do Nelly Furtado's 'Maneater'. But I was stupid enough to put it on a Cuddy fanmix and the next day, it had been done. And I literally cried, lol. Facepalmed it RIGHT onto the glass coffee table, and cried. BUT. Now? I'm glad. Because that song is so overused now, and I seriously think this version, Hall & Oates' version, is a much better fit for me, and for how I see Cuddy.
This was a serious bitch. My first video using Ulead. So naturally it didn't go as smoothly as I would have liked. BUT I LOVE ULEAD YOU GUYS. When I get 'fluent' in it, for lack of a better term? I will be pumping this bitches out like no other. I cannot even wait. It solves every problem I ever had - my two biggest ones being contrast and aspect ratio - no more switching between wide and full screen! I lied. I just checked and APPARANTLY I still have to figure this out lol. BUT CREDITS - I CAN WORK AROUND CREDITS NOW. *screams*

I'm differently proud of this one because I was really out of my comfort zone. And I tried REALLY hard to use clips that I've absolutely never used before, and that was a struggle. And I tried to use ones that I don't really see anyone else use either, I don't know. It was hard. Couple that with trying to figure out a new program all at the same time and that = a lot of stress. But it's all okay now. ♥
01.) 0:05 - 0:10: idk, just watch timing, especially with when she blinks.
02.) 0:11: YAY THE FLASHES WERE PERFECT TIMING FOR ME. and I had to use this because she's all red. i loved setting her up like this.
03.) 0:15: yay her fingers tingle with the music. i love this song because it had so many little tingles and flashy sounds and ticks for me to work with. this is probably one of my favorites though. it makes me lol. i thought of it in math class - and okay. with these things? i can just tell when their movements are going to fit with the music without even checking. and im right like, 95% of the time. and so i thought of this in math class and saw it just like this in my head and had a huge laughing attack in the middle of my quiz. it was so embarrassing. its like i forgot i was in public.
04.) 0:18: I really love this part. her big head circle. idk, i love it.
05.) 0:21: *tick-tick*! and i put the next shot in, the shot panning up her body to kind of correspond with his head movement here.
06.) 0:24: just timing again. with his hand.
07.) 0:30: idk, just watch her hands and her neck and the *ticks* in the music again. this was one of the very first things i added.
08.) 0:35: his cane on the *ticks*.
09.) 0:39: one of my favorite shots in this one. the death glare. jkdshfas.
10.) 0:40: I had this without dialogue first, so if you listen close her hand is on time with those *ticks* again. i thought that was cool. but then i figured i could add that dialogue because it's funny and it fits and there are no lyrics at that point anyway. unfortunately, upon doing so, i lost the YAY TIMING factor with her hands. :( and her little head shake on 'panties' too.
11.) 0:47: this part makes my mom lol. it is also one of my favorites.
12.) 0:50: this is quite obvious. but i WILL say that i love her mouth here and how it 'sounds', for lack of a better term.
13.) 0:57: this clip is really simple, but i quite like it. 'seen her here before', just kind of using this simple clip to show their daily routine.
14.) 1:03: PERSONAL VICTORY. my first time being able to cut out the credits. i am a fucking happy panda.
15.) 1:11: "so many have paid to see", she's giving a speech. she's a big deal, guys.
16.) 1:13: probably my favorite part. okay so no. i need to shut up because i obviously have a lot of favorite parts. but this is SO one of them. her head on "think", he throws money at her on "free". its just perfect.
17.) 1:15-1:20: i love this whole sequence. "the woman is wild, a she-cat tamed by the purr of a jaguar". this is obvious again. House = sexy jaguar that can sometimes purr at her and soften her evil ways. lmao. NO BUT SRSLY. i didnt know what i was gonna do for that she-cat line. and then i saw this in my head one day and ta-da, it lined up. i really like the message this clip gives with these lyrics, idk.
18.) 1:21: "money's the matter" - "i sign your paychecks." :)
19.) 1:24: blinks on "love". she falls back on "far". this IS my FAVORITE part. she even continues to walk on time. klsjdaf favorite. AND THEN WE HAVE THE COOL FLASHY THING THAT I AM STILL LEARNING BUT OMG I LOVE.
20.) 1:30: THE GIGGLE. i had the giggle on time with the actual clip, but you couldn't hear it as well. it needed to be emphasized. because it's seductive and flirty and just confident and idk how to explain how much i love it. and that's also why there's a black screen for that. im playing with your senses. ;)
21.) 1:32: just timing again. watch the way her head moves with it lol.
22.) 1:34: I LOVE THIS PART. "watch out boy" as she goes to damn near electricute him hahahaha.
23.) 1:35-1:47: just timing. hopefully you'll see the little stuff i do. i dont feel like pointing it all out. but OH one thing that i really love is the way the intern looks down after she cuts his tie.

26.) 2:07: "she is so wrong for you". gleam suggested this piece of dialogue and I was able to fit it in right here. ♥. i couldnt decide if i wanted him to be warning Wilson, but then I decided i'd rather have him be warning himself. this is like his conscience is talking to him, that's what i meant by this shot of his eyes with this voiceover. he KNOWS she's bad news but damn, he likes her anyway.
27.) 2:10: I was gonna have some BOUO action here, but then I remembered this and I think I like it better.
28.) 2:11-2:30: like, a SERIOUS favorite sequence. all of it. i love her running at him, and then i love her falling on him on "watch out boy". and then of course, the growly faces on "she'll chew you up."
29.) 2:40: watch her loverly eyes, obv.
30.) 2:43: angiescully's favorite part. hahaha. FUNNY STORY. okay, so when I rip my dvds, the audio saves as one file, and the video saves as another. so naturally, none of my video clips have sound. so i put this in, just because i liked the way her head moved. and then i was like, "hmm. this is instrumental. this is boring. i wonder what she's really saying here." so i dug up my audio file for this and you guys. i died laughing for like 10 serious minutes. because i couldn't even believe how perfect it was that she was saying that. so DUH, i put it in. LOL THEN HIS FACE. HIS FACE IS PRICELESS.
31.) 2:47-2:55: timing is everything. i especially love that shot of him after the arm grab. AND ANOTHER THING IL ABOUT ULEAD - IT LETS ME SLOW DOWN OR SPEED UP HOWEVER MUCH I WANT. dskjfhas.

36.) 3:24: her putting stuff down. the file slam was easy to remember, but the other two kind of werent, especially the second one. but it's my favorite.
37.) 3:35: BY FAR, my favorite "chew you up" EVER. and sdjfhsghg i got rid of credits. *screams*. i LOVE this scene, she's SO amazing in it. and idk, i like how she opens her mouth just before it cuts away.
38.) 3:40: i had to. this is the moment i noticed cuddy. like, NOTICED cuddy. so it is very special to meee. ♥. and i also kind of wanted to show that she doesn't only kick HOUSE's ass, she kicks EVERYONES, kthx.
39.) 3:51: her arm on the saxophone. im pretty sure that's a saxophone. i think.
40.) 3:53: their faces on "watch out". lol poor guys.
41.) 4:05: "eat-AH!" her head does this amazing smart ass thing and just jksdfa listen for it.

44.) 4:12: okay. this was one of those i saw in my head (in front of the bathroom sink, sunspawn. i know, right?) but when i came in here to add it, i couldnt get it to work like it was in my head. and it was SO damn frustrating. i came back to it later, made one random adjustment and it worked and i said, "DAMN IT, THAT IS IT, YES." my head never lies.
45.) 4:16: okay lol wilson. i love you. okay the idea with this ending here is that House is trying to pass on his wisdom of how this bitch can fuck up your life. and wilson is scared now, and cuddy's kind of after him. look for his hands on "watch out!" on 4:21. he gets out, and house walks away, leaving her there. i love this shot of him walking away with her behind the glass.
46.) 4:26: cuddy finds new prey. ♥. and i used the same yellow lighting as i did at the beginning to kind of bookend the whole thing. and i made her get to the doorframe on "watching and waiting", as she just stands there kind of stalkerish. and then it fades out, leaving it a bit open-ended.

Especially on this one, though, because it was harder than usual for me for a lot of reasons. I AM SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG. I won't let it happen again. And I have like 3 REALLY really good ideas that I cannot wait to get out.
