another night, another dream, but always you
jkhfdljahdf another weird ass dream under the cut. Sela and Chase were there.
K, so I slept from noon-5:30pm. And I dreamt a bunch of shit that I dont quite remember but its on the tip of my tongue. Then I slept again from 5:30-8:30. SO, all of this takes place during that second chunk of time.
I was with a few people, friends I think although I dont know who. We built a sled out of ice. It wasnt REALLY a sled, it was like just a sheet of ice. So then we all got on it and we were going to ride it on the freeway. So we were trying to make it go but it wouldnt go fast enough (go figure), so we made it run along the snow. We started going a decent speed, and then hit a bump and I got scared our ice!sled was going to break.
Then, for whatever reason, we had to go through someone's house. We picked a house where no one was home. So, we just went in the front door, through the house, out onto the screened porch (where there was a bed that *I* thought a little kid was in but apparantly there wasnt. Or there was and the kid just didnt wake up.) So there were stairs in the porch and we went down them and then out this other door. We ran through their backyard and there was this hill with lots of trees that we needed to get over. BUT we couldn't see. So I was like, "we need a flashlight". Someone commented, "psht, YEAH like we REALLY have enough money for a FLASHLIGHT right now." And i was like, "i meant we could STEAL one, dumbass." So we went and opened that house's garage. There was this creepy ass alien (you know, like the ones from Signs?) waiting in front of us, so when the garage opened, he went in first and started digging in a car tire that wasnt ON a car but instead was laying flat on the ground. Well, we were kinda scared of it so we didnt go in. But then he said something to us and walked away.
Chase, dressed in full doctor attire (with his little clip-on ID and everything) was apparantly out to stop us. And we saw him interrogating a neighbor about it so we booked it back towards the hill. I was running towards the hill and a dog was gnawing on my hand. I tried to sic him on Chase. We still didnt have a flashlight to see the hill, but it was light out now i guess so we could see and we didnt need a flashlight. There were like, pink flowers all over those trees. The hill was steep on the other side, and it was scary to drop. But we did. Then there were other ppl after us (I was pretty much alone now, I think though), two people. One had a salmon colored shirt on. I dont remember what the other one was wearing. One of them might have been Tritter. But there were these railroad tracks behind the hill that i needed to cross. I looked to my right and the cops were coming so i was trying to hurry but i couldnt get up. Then Chase started to come after me too. There were two sets of tracks. I crossed them both but it was really hard and scary. On the other side of the tracks, there was a wall made of rocks that was obviously meant for climbing. It was a natural occurance though, not like a manmade rock climbing wall. So I started just climbing. Then I heard Sela's voice, saying something really supportive and encouraging, but I dont remember what it was. Something about, "That's why you'll be so great when you get to Zoey." I said, "Where is she??" and then the half-ghost-weirdness that was Sela pointed forward and then to the right. I couldnt go any higher on the rocks, so i started shifting along the wall to the left. Then, there were a bunch of people, like sitting in a line with their heads bowed down (maybe they were dead?) and I had to walk along their laps. Two of them had papers pinned to their chests. I skipped the first one, but ripped the second one off. I dont remember what it said, but i didnt think it was important so I crumpled it up and threw it away. I heard an almost narrative voice say, "you don't litter around MY surgery!" And I entered another cave to my right.
I think a monkey was with me this time. It was pitch black and i still had no flashlight. But I felt my phone in my back pocket. SO i flipped it open and used that light.. even though it barely did anything. The monkey was in front of me and i gave up on the phone. I wandered around in the dark, but i wasnt scared. I was really hyper and okay because i was using the walls to feel where i was supposed to go. I remember just running and laughing my ass off and flailing. I came out of the cave and had to cross the road. The cops were there again and the cars were going fast. But I made it, I think.
I dont remember what happened after that. I know i didnt quite finish the 'journey' or whatever the fuck. But I remember thinking I had gotten far enough and I did good. I also remember thinking, "if this gets too scary, you can always just wake yourself up". Then I was asleep, cuddling with some stuffed animal, and I was like, singing too and i remember thinking "am i singing in real life too?" and then i paid attention to how i was laying with my stuffed animal so i could see if it was the same when i woke myself up. And it kind of was except there was no stuffed animal. Whatever. There was something about my Lisa!locket too. Then I got up and I was talking to Sela except... not? It was fucked up. I/someone else said, "dont you want to spend like four more years with them now??" and Sela goes, "YES!" like she was mad or something. Then I remember thinking, "if this was a movie, this is how it'd end", and then I saw a shot of the girls' dad finally getting to them, Zoey screaming "DADDY!!" and running to him, and then an overlay of *gasp* dead!sela (which, at this point in the dream i had JUST figured out), turning and smiling kind of, like that scene of Scully in Revelations that I love so much.
Then I called gleam and asked her what she was doing. She goes, "I'm at work, hun! Do you want me to bring the father in to talk to you for a bit?" and I was like, "no its okay, i just wanted to tell you about my sela dream, he wouldnt understand haha." But then I woke up for REAL. And it was weird.
I started reading Wicked this morning. It's creeping me out in the best way possible. Like, shit, when the witch is born? One of the women observes that there's a rainbow in the sky. Just... fucking shit like that.
