O yes. In one day nonetheless!
So Friday was a pretty sweet day despite the mediochre Physics test I took. That was rather painful. However, I feel like I could have done at least average. We'll see
So after that I was a bit shooken up but I met up with Greg, Jon, and Rebecca at the LAC to play pool and Ping Pong. I was seriously out of practice with pool. However, it was still pretty awesome. Then lunch. Things were just ok by this time in the day.
Spent the afternoon doing homework. Working out. I ended in time to get to the IM Flag Football game to watch Greg, West dorm + scripps play. Well, one other scrippsie showed up. I was intending on not playing.. But then we scored one touchdown, so the one other spectator for our team, Sam (?) from West, joined in, and I ended up taking the place of the guy West Dorm affectionately calls "Dildo Baggins" or "Assf*ck part 2" for some reason... His real name is Tim. He was wearing a wrist cast and they were short a player. So... I ran out into the field. Yikes.
I actually didn't do anything too embarassing for the whole game. Right off, I got the girl's flag from the other team when she had the ball, so that was awesome. But then, I was worse from then on. I dropped a pass. Darn. And managed to go flying over greg when he tripped/stopped in front of me. Now, my left shoulder really doesn't feel so hot when i move it past a certain range in any direction. sucks!
So I'm thoroughly done after working out and then flag football. I get showered, start to paint nails, etc for the Ballroon Party that night. I get all ready to go as a cat - homemade paper ears that I bobbypinned to my head and eyeliner whiskers. Jon and Rebecca decide to come along as well which was really cool. They got dressed up as well and looked really cute! I unfortunately got no pictures of me prior dancing, or even any picture of me by myself at all.. but that's ok. It wasn't that groundbreaking.
We get to the Edmunds Ballroom at Pomona and it's actually really crowded. There are tons of people - quite a few of them older. I realized later in the night that there's this joint ballroom program with CalPoly. So people from there as well as my instructor's dancing friends from college, one with whom i got to dance! He was sooooo good. But I had no idea he wasn't a student here because his face was painted completely as a pumpkin. It was really cool/creepy bc I couldn't tell what he looked like at all. Anywho, we learned the NY Hustle really fast, then the open ballroom hours started. They'd play 3 minutes of different songs for different dance styles, like waltz, samba, rhumba, two-step, quick step, foxtrot, swing, ny hustle. Lots. So I try to dance to as many as I can with different people - mostly friends from Latin Dance. Then at 10:30, the Campus Dance Team and the Tour Team performed. Soooo sooo good. Wow. The Campus team did a samba that was just so intense. Wow. The Tour team this sweet swing one.
I stayed for a bit after the performances to dance a bit more, then headed back to scripps around 11:30. Met up with Sammy and a whole bunch of other really cool first years that I haven't been able to hang out with a lot. We all just sat around in this girl, Adrian's room, ate cake, pumpkin seeds, and cookies. Took lots of pictures and shared lots of talk. I had a total blast. It was really cool chilling with all these girls I was only kind of familiar with, but I wanted to meet.
Headed back to Greg's for a great night!
Rebecca left for home today - she'll be back tomorrow in the afternoon. She's going to surprise her mama for her birthday! cool! So i took her to the airport this morning.
Tonight, I'm planning on attending Trick or Drink, this huge party at West Dorm (sort of unavoidable since Greg lives there). Should be cool - even if we'll probably just be looking around. I think I'll be 80's Flashdancer - costume from this summer when i went to take pics with Lauren and Austin. Cool!
What else? I only have one big assignment to complete this weekend really. I did most of the little stuff on Friday. Awesome!
Oh, this probably sounds like I've been really not working or intellectual; however, this is not the case. Friday and this weekend is just more eventful than others. wow.
In other news: everyone listen to System of a Down. They are freaking amazing.
