I am NOT ready for Monday, but I think it came whether I was ready or not.  Wow, what a weekend.  Friday I received flowers at work, a beautiful bouquet of roses and orchids.  Tommy sent them to me for my birthday.  I've always wanted to get flowers at work.  :-)  Made me happy.  That evening, I headed up to Dayton because we were supposed to meet an international friend of mine for dinner, but it didn't work out.  Instead, Tommy took me to Elsa's for some delicious Mexican food.  We went grocery shopping after that and when we got home we gorged ourselves on ice cream sundaes.  Saturday dawned clear and sunny, and Tommy presented me with my presents.  He had gotten me a digital picture frame, on which he put a collage of pics of us from the past year, as well as four songs that are meaningful to us.  I love it.  He also gave me a long-sleeve Supergirl t-shirt.  After a relaxing morning, we headed down to Newport, Kentucky, to go to the aquarium there.  It was a lot of fun!  We had our picture taken and got the souvenir photo.  After the aquarium, we were walking around Newport on the Levee, and Tommy bought me a cute book, "A Lovely Love Story" by Edward Monkton.  He is, after all, my fierce T-Rex.  We joined my family for a delicious lasagna dinner Saturday evening, and I was spoiled with gifts from everone.  My sister's gift was really cool:  Pirate cookie cutters!  Argh, matey.  Sunday Tommy let me sleep in until after 10!  I had no idea I was so tired.  That afternoon we went to Iron's Fruit Farm to celebrate fall with a hayride, a corn maze (which Tommy was awesome in getting us out of), a walk through a pumpkin patch, and the best apple fritters and apple butter ever.  Sunday evening Tommy and I spent some quality time together, growing closer and stronger in our relationship.  It was a wonderful, beautiful, amazing time.  Makes me wish I didn't have to go to work in just a short time.  I don't want such a great weekend to end!
