I totally needed to read this fic today. It really cheered me up. I think I need to make a Hair Shout icon, but I am not sure how often I would use it and I am running out of spaces for icons.
If I were going to make one, I might use this as a model:
Thanks, Lissa, the funeral was hard, but manageable. Now I've got all week to deal with family, since they are Jewish they sit Shiva for seven days (family members gather at the home of the deceased and receive visitors). I won't be going every day, because we are taking turns watching Baby Fingon. He is too wild to be around for very long.
Seven days of mourning? Perhaps that's a good idea. That first week can be awfully hard; it's good to be around loved ones, to be comforted and distracted.
That's absolutely terrific and you did it so fast! I'm impressed. I am doing my next bio on Amárië, because I want an easy one after Fingon. Darth suggested her. I was thinking there is very little to say and he said that I should talk about her name! So maybe that will inspire another ficlet next month in response.
Thanks for your kind words - it was the icon, you know.
>>he said that I should talk about her name<<
Well, if anyone should talk about names, it ought to be Darth. He does know an awful lot about them.
Amárië... hmm, no, not terribly much to say about her. Tolkien did tend to be a bit scarce with info on females (of any species, come to think of it). It's a little annoying that he actually tells us more about Shelob's thoughts and feelings than e.g. Arwen's. :-( (Well, at least as much as...)
Amárië could become one of your shorter bios, methinks.

What a pair. You know, that family had a really, really weird taste in names...
If the fic cheered you up a bit, then I'm more than happy. I know today was a hard day for you. *hugs*

On a less serious note:
>>Those names are crazy!<<
Well, your icon just bit me - see comment below.
