Laziness
So yeah. Last week kicked my ass. Big Time.
Started off with learning that 35 people in our class on our last POD test needed to be remediated. Hmm. Say something about the test perhaps? So, since Lumsden decided that he could not remediate us all one on one, we would have another test for the "slow kids". He set the cutoff at 15..ie if you got above that your didn't have to write it. I got 14.75. Fuck me. I think I'm going to have a chat with him.
Speaking of school, second year sucks. I mean SUCKS. I think if someone told me I ever had to repeat phase 2..I'd quit. That would be it. Our entire class is so grumpy. (I guess bitchy would be more appropriate). Meh. I can't wait until this week is over, I really need a break. But oh YES! The scheduled two exams for the day we get back from reading week, so I guess that kinda negates that, doesn't it. Bastards.
Had a 3-in-one job interview this past week as well. It too, sucked. They were giving me all these crazy scenerios that were realistic, but ones that I wouldn't be expected to solve. I hardly think that a clinician would appreciate me sticking their patient full of drugs while I waited for them to respond to my pleas of help. But hey, who knows. And while I'm on my rant...I swear, when OVC hires techs, "bitterness" must be a personality trait they are looking for. I mean CHRIST, get over yourselves. My interview was conducted by three techs, and as I was walking into the room, one of them sighs "GOD, I hate students". The other two laugh. I stand there uncomfortably in the doorway where they don't realize my presence. Fun times.
On a better note, went to the winter gala on friday night...it was fun. Its so nice to get dressed up once and a while...I do have some girly moments. Its so strange to see your classmates all dressed up! Everyone looks so different. Saturday we just relaxed all day, did absolutely nothing, and at night we just had a nice dinner at home, a bottle of wine, and chilled out. Tonight, we're going to do something similar. Dale got me a really pretty chain necklace to replace the one a broke a while back. I'm so happy because I felt naked without the other necklace he gave me.
