Catching up.
Haven't written in this thing for a while. Partially because I've been extremely busy, partly because I've become extremely bored with this thing. Amazing how short my attention span is. Also because people have gotten all bent out of shape about what I have written in here. Newsflash. Its MY journal. I can write what I want. I do not write it with the intention of anyone else reading it. Yes, I leave it in a semi-public forum, but feel free to scroll on by.
Finished my poster presentation up, went okay I guess. Its hard becuase I've been doing human research all summer, and well, people at OVC don't really care about human lung cancer. So while the judges spent at least 20 minutes at each station that was related to animal research, the judge that came to mine could barely muster 5 minutes of interest. Needless to say, I didn't win anything. Ha.
Finished up with the wedding circuit, thank god. I mean it was nice, but three weddings in four weeks is just too much. This weekend has been so nice because we've just totally hung out and relaxed. Its been AMAZING. Went to St. Jacob's Farmner's Market yesterday, and it was so much fun.
I can't believe that school is starting up again soon. Its unreal. I can't believe how fast the summer has gone, and how fast time in general is flying. It seems like just yesterday I was trying to figure out how the hell I even got into vet school and where we were going to find a place to live. My life is so totally different than it was a year ago. Complete 180. But that in itself is very exciting.
And, just when we thought the summer was going to be the busiest time...September is taking shape to be hectic as well. Besides the school crap, we have a family reuinion on the 11th--it should be fun-my aunt from California whom I haven't seen in probably 10 years is coming! Then on the 25th we're off to a house-warming-wedding celebration in London for good friends of ours. It will be fun to be back in London again! I miss that town. Lots of good memories there.
Must get off to work. Will write more later.
