Yesterday was my dad's birthday, I had a doctors appointment I was going to by myself, and mom was going to stay at home and cook dad exactly what he wanted for dinner. What actually happened was a lot different. I got woke up at 8:30 by a call from my doc's nurse canceling my appointment (he brok a tooth and the only time I could get in to the dentist was during my appointment). So I went about my day and went to grandma's like normal. While mom was there she called grandma's doc to get results from blood test and biopsy, they had her call the doc who did the biopsy who happens to be in the same office as my GI and has the nurse I love who does all the infusions. They were going to have to call her back so mom went out to mow and I stayed to answer the phone and ask questions. Well I happened to be outside when they finally called so my grandma talk to them. Turns out she does infact have cancer in her lympth nodes. Since I had my appointment today and I got an iron infusion I was able to talk to the nurse. She said the type of cancer it is doesn't start in the lympth nodes and there is a spot on or by her vocal cords so she thinks it might have started as head and throat cancer. She will probably have an appointment next week with the cancer doc and we will find out about treatment options and a time span but chances are she won't seek treatment because of her age.
Also my cousin Jessica (who just had a baby in May) has been in the hospital for a couple of days. Today she had her gallbladder removed. She is doing okay and should be going home tomorrow.
Good news: Friday I get paid :)
Also also, Saturday is my church's swim party if anyone (aka Tiffani because she is the only one that is really close enough) would like to come. It is from 7-9pm at the public pool in town. Oh and it is free :)
