Weekly Scribble - 33 He’s got an arm like a leg And a punch that would sink a Battle Ship

Not much to report here. Sometime this weekend me and some friends are getting together and having a Satoshi Kon marathon as a bit of a memorial. I've been hunting for jobs, learning to make chain mail jewelry and working on the The Project.

There actually has been page layout progress on The Project, its however posted to It's Own Blog. For various reasons most direct comic progress will now be posted over there.

So here's this week's artpost.

More concept work for the Desert steam punk piece. Next week I'll probably get around to scanning the B movie mummies I am working on for practice for this piece.

Something sadly affected by my taste in music. I tend to get obsessed with one band/song for a while. I'm currently obsessed with Tom Wait's song "Just the Right Bullets" a Faustian story involving the Devil trying to sell a guy magic bullets. The rest of the album that this is from (Black Rider) is interesting but that one track just hooked me.

Damn weird and catchy. So yea, started off drawing Tannis and the devil guy showed up and voila. I draw weird stuff when I'm about to go to sleep.

Just playing with poses, trying to get mid action movements.

And just facial studies for The Project. One day I need to really get Larry to un-sneer. I swear his face is stuck that way.

Not much else to say, I'm going to go back to goofing off now.
