Sorry for the late late art post, I was hoping to have something nicer to show this week and...the magic just wasn't there. Ah well, a few things I'm kicking around at the moment. I also had posted this on the dreamwidth journal hours ago and was waiting for the cross posting to kick in. Since it hasn't I'm taking matters into my own hands and posting this now. I will probably have to delete a double post in a day or two.
More of that learning to ween oneself of lineart/learning to paint thing. This time I just drew a face and proceeded to try to make it work without the outlines. Kinda flubbed on this one I think. Plus she ended up looking kind of like Max from Batman Beyond, which wasn't really my intention. Oops.
And more work for The Project. I decided to show abit more of my process here, so the varying colors in semi transparency are my base sketches. I tend to start messy and whittle it down layer by layer till I like the lines.
And more stuff from The Project That Must Not Be Named, the first layer of lineart for...a page. Still not talking about whats going on, just showing there is some minimal progress. I really need to beat up my past self for scripting funky low angles in the very first page of this. Then beat myself up again for the birds eye view on the second page. Thank god for a decent artist mannequin and camera rig up.
