Weekly Scribble - 25 - I Won't Soothed, Over, Smoothed Over, like Milk, Silk, a Bedspread or a Quilt
Welp, not much this week, mainly experiments and quick sketches. I've been hacking at scripts some more, taking a step back from page layouts cause I suck oh so mightily at it. I will figure this stuff out.
These first two are speed paintings I did in photoshop from photo references. Trying to get myself to broaden my color range, and get used to working without depending as heavily on my line work as I do. Not sure how well they came out, I was working fast and just trying to get the lights and darks in place.
I've been hanging around a bit on the ConceptArt forums. And some folks there suggested I look at Mixed Martial Arts photos for reference for fighting. Once more from photo re, I was trying to focus more on the energy and pose than the anatomy details and as such I know the proportions suffer abit.
And now something from The Project. Side character, no one really important story wise but he needed to look important setting wise. I really need to figure out what to do with guy's hair in this setting, it's either pony tails or bald. My horizons need broadening.
