"Just a scrap of fabric"

Via craftzine - Wedding dress from strips of fabric....

caecilia97once commented on my ability to throw together a LARP costume from "oh, it's just a piece of fabric I had lying around..." This puts anything I've ever done in that realm to shame.

Wow! That is so cool.

I just cna't afford 6 yards of silk. And I really think you'd need a fabric with the drape and flow of silk.

Still, you (or I) could totally do that.

6 yards of silk wouldn't be that bad if you shopped it... and some of the new synthetics have as much drape as silk.

Personally, I agree. You've been able to consistently come up with unique costumes out of literally what you have around your house. It's a talent I wouldn't mind having!

That reminds me something I saw on a show about wacky houses.
Some artsy guy had made his wife's wedding dress out of antique handkerchiefs. He then said on the show that he had told his wife (at the time he gave it to her) that when the wedding ceremony started to get her all choked up or teary, she could dab a bit of the dress to the corner of her eyes. XD

Wow....I wish I could do that.

I LOVE how the bed looks, with the ivy and wisteria. I have a similar bedframe outlined with white Christmas lights...might have to add some greenery to that. It would be very pretty :)
