Apathy

I worry about you and this sometimes. You are also so ... exuberant, so happy, that when the apathy seems to be getting hold of you it seems worse than when it bites me. After all, apathy is just another form of depression, and lord knows I've dealt with enough of that!

Apathy, for me, is that sense of "drag:" not momentum, as Sam points out, because momentum means when you start going, you keep going. But drag... slowly dragging to a stop and then just staying stopped. It's one of the things I've been working on learning not to do this year, and one of my biggest banes.

Albania?

Wasn't that the country at "war" in Wag the Dog? Honestly, I know nothing at all about Albania.

Amethysts
Are supposed to help with unbalanced moods. I once gave a friend - Kimmy, the sister of my ex-finance and one of my bestest friends through some of middle and all of high school- three or four different pieces of amethyst... funny, back then, I wasn't the unstable friend.

I have a good number of friends who prefer this shade of purple/lilac. I, myself, like it in small doses, and I have a big ol' chunk of amethyst as a candleholder, given to me by the infamous Kate (not that one, the first one) at my first ever Malfactor New Year's

And, sadly, although alpaca is supposed to be wonderful, wonderful stuff, I'm allergic to that as well.

How about you?
