After a week of death reading in uncomfortable library chairs, potato chip dinners, and an environment of stress, Teal, Isaiah and I thought of a way we could combine the fun of a saturday with academic productivty. The result? A spin-off of the sunday adventure crew: The Saturday Study/Adventure Crew!
We decided to journey out to the distant and sleepy little town of Montague Massachusetts and visit "The Book Mill"
ahh the Book Mill "Books you don't need, in a place you can't find" is their motto. What a wonderful place, its a used book store and cafe in an old mill with a waterfall running behind it and crazy characters galore, check out our parking lot neighbor:
The food at the cafe was amazing and i finally got to try the Dogfish beer i dreamt of in Poland.
We did some hardcore reading
Teal's the man because he's reading about economics in Spanish. I love kids who know languages. And if there's anything i love more than friends who know foriegn languages, its hearing my friends speak foreign languages.
I got to listen to the boys break out their Argentinean Spanish skillz with our study table neighbor from Buenos Aires.
Speaking of BA, im going.
but back to the bookmill
look! there's me and the most depressing book ive ever read! its about rape, child abuse, and war. This book is seriously affecting me. I recommend reading it.
Well after a day of quiet reading and contemplative cigarette breaks, its was really time to let loose
We journeyed back to Hampshire College and i almost hit a dog! I had to slam on the brakes and slip slide through an intersection, but the dog was safe, and no cars hit us. Last night I dreamt of car wrecks.
When we got back to school it was still early in the night
Teal got some new fancy headphones..so we did this for a while:
Then we planned a 3 course meal for dinner. The first course was guacomole and chips. I thought it looked like vomit and the vomit filled us up, so the dinner didnt continue past the first course
After that there was High Gravity 40s and Tango lessons:
After a while of trying to "get it right" Isaiah (who was teaching us) mentioned he didnt actually know how to tango
Then shit went really really college
I refused to participate in the shotgunning of PBRs, but looking back, i kind of wish i had.
In anycase, i fell at some point, and now i can't walk.
oh man what a day
