Beware of Greeks Bearing Gifts
I'm tired of long entries, therefore this will be short.
Thursday:
Smyrna: modern day Ismer--huge city. We visited a quite bizarre bazaar and got lost.
Pergamum: Amazing acropolis. First city to practice the imperial cults by their worship of the emperor Trajan. VERY COOL.
Friday:
TROY: we walked through the ruins with a tour guide and went inside a reconstruction of the Trojan horse. Troy was very interesting. We went to a restaurant called Iskender which I took a picture in front of. We then drove to Istanbul, went into the city, and now am back at the hotel. The original hotel we were supposed to stay at didn't work out because somebody tried to commit suicide and almost burned the hotel down! Yikes! Thankfully nobody died.
Lots of great conversations today. :) I'm tired and hot.

I will summarize the last 4 days when I get home. I'm ready to be back at home and do whatever I want, whenever I want. lol.
