weekends
I love the weekends... I love having days off to clean and get things done and enjoy people without having to think about going to bed at a "reasonable" hour... And I love Sundays, getting up and going to church, eating lunch with friends, lazy afternoons, watching movies, taking naps, going for walks... I think Sundays are my favorite day ever. They are the one day during the week that I don't feel guilty for not getting stuff done... for not doing what I *should* do. I love the freedom that having a "day of rest" allows me. I see why God designed us that way.
I found a place to live... am going to move sometime after the 15th. So there will be lots to do in the next week or so... lots of packing, trying to figure out what to take and what to leave behind. I also need to find someone to help me move the stuff... which means I need a truck. I guess it will all work out, one way or another. And then I've got to find a renter for my place... I was sad this morning though when I woke up and thought about not living in my house. I love my house... the space, the way it is decorated, all my furniture... I was reconsidering this whole decision this morning... and then I drove my 40 minute drive to work and remembered that in the new place I will have a 5 minute or less drive to work and so I'm re-motivated to move again :-).
I saw Superman Returns yesterday... which was pretty good. Kind of long and a little bit cheesy, but basically entertaining. And OMG, the guy who plays superman is HOT!!! Seriously. At one point in the movie, Lois Lane is flying with Superman and she says something to the effect of "I forgot how warm you are." I leaned over to the girl next to me and whispered, "she meant to say 'I forgot how hot you are.'" LOL. And you really have to wonder why it is that no one can recognize that Clark Kent is Superman.
