WE ARE GOING TO CHINA.
we haven't been anywhere significant this year, & i was getting a craving to travel. i looked at a bunch of groupon getaway deals, knowing that the only way joe would agree to travel while he still owes me a grip of cash would be if the deal is TOO GOOD TO REFUSE. & this groupon was exactly that! I have only been to China through the technicality of Hong Kong becoming China in the years since my visit. I AM TOTES JELLY

Awesome! I missed out on my chance to go there. Should've made an excuse when I still worked at Tilera. Alas. =/
after lunch at lindy's, the boys split for the water park. we usually go late in the season when boulder beach is closed, so joe hadn't been. i dislike being wet, but i'm perfectly happy on my own & didn't mind being abandoned while they rode the lazy river & whatever. we decided to meet up after three hours; half that time later, i'd ridden a few rides alone & was walking along thinking how this is fun, but it's not a tenth of the fun as having friends around to share it with.
FWIW, I would be the perfect person to go on roller coasters with you. I don't swim (given my not-so-happy-with-water-thing) and what inhibitions I had about roller coasters were annihilated about 15 years ago.
ON THE OTHER HAND, WE COULD PLAY THE SILVER LINING! ; )
we stopped at red lobster on the way home, for multiple reasons: idaho seems to only have chain restaurants, i hadn't been ( ... )

red lobster's good, but i would never choose it over a non-chain local seafood place.
THAT COULD WELL HAPPEN AGAIN THIS YEAR. i mean hell, the present's been in the apartment for ages & he hasn't spotted it yet...
