Thoughts of the moment
I have a dilemma. Tomorrow I have an appointment with the Orthopedic surgeon. If I go, I am essentially telling them I want surgery on my poor ankle. After six months it is better than when I sprained it but it still hurts. I went canvassing for six hours on Saturday and my ankle was on fire by the end. So, is it worth having surgery? I know the surgery will hurt. I've had one like it before and it really hurt. Maybe if I just wait it will stop hurting someday all on it's own. Of course, for now, I can't walk very far or work out much or do most of the things I want to do. But is it worth the pain of having surgery? Don't know. Oh well.
On another note - I will miss hanging out with friends tomorrow as the election results come in. This is an occasion for lots of drinking and being with friends. You don't want to be alone if we lose and you really don't want to be alone if we win. Must have people to celebrate!!!
