My rant...
I am pissed enough that I just really need to rant for a bit...
So, besides CA having a ballot measure to try to ban gay marriage, so does FL and AZ, and AR has a measure to prevent gay couples from adopting.
Its just so frustrating. Especially since it looks like FL will ban gay marriage, and I don't see how the AZ or AR measures won't pass either.
Really, do you have to go this far? I just don't understand why so many fucking people care what homosexuals do in the privacy of their own home. Why is church and state merging to the point that a specific group of people are being discriminated against... and WHY is it ok?
The other part of this is network TV...
ABC Fired Brooke Smith (Dr. Erica Hahn) from Grey's Anatomy, because they didn't like the way the character was going in the storyline... you mean because she was gay???? And the potential bi female character who is about to join the show, apparently will no longer be bi.
But ABC has not done very well with gay characters... including on Ellen.
I am sure it will only be a matter of time before Bianca on All My Children, leaves again, turns straight, or dies...
Its like what the fuck... do gay people really make other people that fucking uncomfortable?
So one character, maybe two are gay out of hundreds of other characters, and that is an issue? That doesn't even represent real life or society...
I am so damn close to just boycotting Grey's and ABC all together its not even funny..
