On Friday
I signed up for Fitocracy and attempted
this workout. I got through one circuit of it and felt like I wanted to die, which should be a clue as to how out of shape I am.
The real problem I'm having, though, is the fact that holy hells, do they mean it when they say that statins cause muscle weakness. Two days later--with a 40-minute easy walk my only other exercise--I am still in tremendous amounts of pain in my legs. Walking downstairs, sitting down, anything that involves bending at the knee, is sheer torment. I was thinking I'd take another stab at the workout today, but no way.
I've been on the statins for about a month now, so tomorrow I call the doctor and say, hey, yeah, this is untenable. And also maybe you should check my liver function at this point like you said you were going to.
I just hate that the two things I'm doing to get healthier conflict so much >.<
In other news, um.
- Went to
contradictacat's going-away party last night; the late hour it went to + commute + daylight savings time meant I was going to sleep around 4am this morning :(
- Went bra shopping today. Exciting. Or not. But necessary, since I had become the woman with only one bra.
- sosososo nice to have a weekend where I don't have to do much of anything. Other than the aforementioned things, I've been reading, playing games, poking at some Cracks editing/refining work, and various internet goofery
- Rye & Thyme, where I had dinner last Wednesday (it is, incidentally, where the Monument Grill used to be), is AMAZING. I may go again tonight.
