Gertie is doing a
coat sewalong that I wish I could do.
Male Pattern Boldness is doing a
Halloween costume sewalong I wish I could do. Alas, I will be spending my Halloween in a lime-green shirt.
The Border House is doing a
week-long virtual game jam using TWINE, a tool that lets you build a choose-your-own-adventure style game.
While that's interesting, I'm more interested by the fact that the
public beta for Failbetter Games' StoryNexus creator tools starts this October.
There's also apparently a Cthulhu LARP happening at a scenic inn in New Hampshire this weekend, which I'll also be missing.
Of course, I may not even be able to make it to the Cottington Woods one-day in November, falling, as it does, the week before SLAW.
On the upside, LARP writing is going well. I've finished eight character sheets; I'm onto the ninth now. I still feel like I'm waaaay behind, especially given that every sheet I write is an epic. I have a little less than 3 days to write each one. Then they will require editing, and the earlier the sheet, the more editing it requires. Cherova, for example, is going to require entire swathes of plot added.
*sigh* I don't regret my decision to run Cracks at SLAW. I'm still very excited about what I'm writing, and I'm glad this has given me the excuse to finish. I just... wish I managed my time better. And I want to start other projects.
