Blah blah blah
As soon as I finish this iced coffee I need to get to work. Another glass? Don't mind if I do.
The last couple of days have been... strange. I had Weds off for the fourth, and took Thurs and Fri off to prepare for my party. Which I've been doing. Slowly. Thankfully I'd begun work on this weeks ago, so most of the cleaning is done, but there is still lots of cooking to do.
1) The property looks a lot better than it has in a long time. I hope nobody looks at this and thinks, "Matt and Lise are so good at this, it really puts me to shame," because boy howdy, was this a lot of work, and did it take us a long time to really get the hang of things. And there's SO MUCH MORE TO DO. The building is done but the work's never through, etc. Owning property is a big time and money sink, kids.
2) I made the veggie burgers for my party last night, as well as homemade mayonnaise. (Okay, Matt helped with that). Erm. I probably should not have used EVOO in my homemade mayo. It is very bitter and olive-flavored. I may try it again with a more neutral flavored oil, because right now I can't imagine putting this in my potato salad.
3) I came down with a nasty headache last night, which I can only conclude is caused by sinus issues, because nothing dented it except taking my nightly dose of Nasonex. Of course, the two glasses of iced coffee I had at 9pm, trying to rid myself of it, meant that I was up the rest of the night >.< I didn't get to sleep until 4am, and I just got up a bit ago.
4) While I couldn't sleep--since I didn't want to wake Matt by pottering in the kitchen--I worked on Cracks in the Orb, finally finishing a rough draft character sheet #2. Man. There is already more sex in this game than in all of LXHS. Woohoo!
Well, off to cause trouble and mayhem in my potato salad.
