I had my first session of
readerofposts's game with Sister Domenica of the Ass-Kicking last night. It went pretty well. I got to poke holes in a smoke monster with my rapier and grumble about Turks. Oh, and rescue
lightgamer and DB's respective asses. If nothing else, Kamm's roleplaying made it all worthwhile.
Also, It's so weird to be using a system that's not d20. It needs a lot of getting used to.
Of course, almost as soon as I got there last--when I was asking Ryan what his plans were in regards to the moving of Elsinore--he told us that he was moving to Providence for grad school and that there would only be six or so more sessions of the game. I am le sad. The lesson here? I should have just joined from the damn beginning.
Apparently I am death to campaigns...
I really want someone else to run a fantasy or historical campaign. I'm already doing my part, bitches, running LeverageCraft. Don't I get to play in a campaign, too? I'll play just about anything, but at this point I have the books for D&D 3.5 and 4, GURPS 4th ed, FantasyCraft, and the Leverage RPG. (Of modern systems. I also have a shitload of AD&D 2E books, but I doubt those will be useful). And I have a slight preference for something that runs more often than Once in a Blue Moon, which seems to be a common schedule for games I play(ed) in.
Blah. My brain is made of cheese today.
