This Summer
The other day, Leon asked me where I wanna go in London and Paris. My mind drew blank and I had the sinking feeling, 'rats, he's gonna think I'm an idiot but I really do not know how to answer the question.' Frankly, it's not that I do not know how to answer the question. It is just that Europe and UK are always way too far out of my league. I never really did think about visiting these places and suddenly within the short few months, I am really flying to the far end of the world. Boy, am I excited. Though it is not for another few months and heaps of things could happen within these few months, I realised that I do need to think about where to go and stuff like that. Of course, the accomodation and transport part will be a headache too, but I have decided to leave it to the more experienced one. Tsk, I am becoming way too dependent.
So, here I sat beside my computer on a rainy Saturday afternoon, wondering where are the places that I've been dying to visit. (It is not that I do not have work to do. Work life harmony! No working on weekends if I can help it.) Finally, my dreams about visiting this bustling and exciting (romantic) cities are gonna be fulfilled. I dug through the murky images of my memories. The only things I remember wanting to do badly are like watching a play/ musical, sitting outside a quaint dainty cafe sipping tea, lying in the midst of the green in the park, watching the sunset on the top of the Effie tower, visiting art galleries, taking pictures of street art, wandering along old bricky streets, marveling at the magnificent churches, pretending to be a princess in the castle, contemplating which bags to buy in the high end shops. Well, it is not that I do not know what I wanna do there. I simply do not know where to do all these things.
I've read so many books, literature ones and novels, that I heard so much about these places. I just have never actually go find out about them. Alrighties, I have about 5 months to go research. (:
