Lisa's Weekly Update
The week went by fast it seemed...
Thursday night i went to Cowboys :) Caryn came home around 9pm, we got ready and then Laura came over. Catherine had already left for Cowboys around 8pm b/c she wanted to learn some line dances w/ her friends Jenny & Nicole. The 3 of us got there around 11ish and met up with the other 3. Good times, good times. Caryn got tipsy hehehehe..... There were so many nice guys there mmmmm tall and broad cowboys- yeah i'll have a side of that! [yeah yeah ok don't be fooled... about halfway through the night there i realized i missed Derek. i'm a sucka a know.] But we had fun dancing and talking and being social. Since i was the DD, i had one Sex on the Beach when we first got there and that was it. Ironically enough, a couple of the TKEs were there too: Chad, Kress, Wittgenstein, Idaho and one other guy whose name i don't remember. Both Tom and Kiel had called me, complaining that i wasn't going to BAR with them, but i had told them i had made plans for BAR a week in advance and didn't want to bail. We stayed til about 1:30, b/c then i started to feel sick. Not the "i had too much to drink"-sick, but the "my stomach is not agreeing with me and i'm tired"-sick. Since i was the DD and we had Laura's car, i just wanted to leave ASAP before i felt worse/ got more tired. So bedtime: circa 2am.
Friday was work. Suck. And then just being a bum. I really started to feel that i was (am) getting sick. Tyler called me about a party that night, and i had every intention of going. But yeah, then that whole "feeling like complete shit" thing set in. Caryn and i watched Office Space and then i went to bed- at 1am. I felt like the biggest wuss on the planet!!!! But while we were watching the movie, my eyes were killing me, and i had my glasses on! So when i noticed that my face was hurting, i realized it was probably a sinus infection/ irritation. Greaaaaat. I decided since Orange county was under a freeze warning that night and being that i felt crappy already, a party was just not in the cards for the night. And of course, i found out the next day that almost EVERYBODY showed up to it. Of course, the one night i DON'T go, everyone else does. C'est la vie...
Yesterday i went w/ Caryn to the mall, and spent Viel Geld (lotsa money). 7 shirts and a skirt later... i felt pretty damn good! She and i then went w/ Nicole to TooJays for dinner, where Jason met up with us. Jason and i then just chilled before heading out for the night. We picked up Tom Cunningham, went to Jason's friend Randi's apt for her birthday, and then to Sonny's. It was a crazy evening, but TONS of fun. I wasn't in bed til 5am, didn't fall asleep til almost 5:30am b/c i was up talking.
And today i did nothing. I was up at 11am (amazingly), laid in bed in my PJs until 3pm and have continued to just watch tv and do apt chores the entire day. Laundry and dishes. It's been quiet and relaxing, and i'm looking forward to bed. :)Caryn & i watched Sex & the City and the Golden Globes are on now.
10 things that made me happy/ amused me this weekend
1. spending only circa $80/90 at the mall, on what would have cost me near $200
2. excellent dinner company & conversation- and a hot (albeit flaky) waiter to boot!
3. Erica's phone call updates on her trip & psychoanalyzing Bob (!!)
4. [going along w/ #3 here]discovering that 2 years later, Bob still thinks about me
5. people calling me to hang out
6. GORGEOUS WEATHER
7. having $ deposited into my bank account, and the stupid stupid "CCPA" charge being taken OFF my credit card!
8. Both Tom Cox & Kiel calling me to complain they haven't seen me in over a week.
9. Tom Cunningham telling me (unfortunately drunk) that i am gorgeous and (very honestly) one of his favorite people in the world. :)

#10. KATIE GRADY (now kathleen parker) IS PREGNANT!!!!!! :) I was a bridesmaid in her wedding last year in April, and now she's gonna be a momma!!!! Baby is due Sept. 22... *sigh* GOD how we all grow up so fast...
I'm sleepy and there's hot fresh laundry on my bed. That's where i'm goin!
