Back to school... for the last time!

Oy... the past few days have been busy busy. Be prepared to sit for a bit.

Monday went off without a hitch. I slept well, woke up on time, found clothes to wear. Even left 30 min. early to fight for a parking spot on campus. Amazingly enough, i found a spot in the front on the FIRST FLOOR even, by the Classroom 1 building ::sings Hallelujah chorus:: It was a hot day, unusual for January. I wore my new cord skirt and a blue tank top- and was sweating camel balls in the sahara at that! Ran into Jason in the parking garage- he was at work. He filled me in on the Tampa trip to Mons Venus [I didn't miss anything apparently, and they may go back again. ::contemplates this::]and then i made my way to Phillips Hall. Chit-chatted with the Peer Advisors, waved at Terri after realizing i wasn't going to get my override, and then decided i should go to class. I sat thru Public Administration and was bored stupid. Thank goodness it was only 30 min. And Justin was in there, so it was good to have a familiar face. After that i went to the BP and got a yummy sandwichy ;), changed at home, and then went to work. Work wasn't bad, people were glad to see me (surprise surprise, their Office Bitch is back. Now they don't have to answer their own phone calls anymore). Came home and chilled. Went grocery shopping with Caryn when she came home. Spent 2 hrs at Walmart. Decided to experiment with pasta at home- with pleasant results. And that was just Monday.

For Monday being so good and laid back, Tuesday sucked. Had to park on the roof of the garage. Had to mill around searching for my class in the Business Admin. building (i've never had a class in there and there's a ton of construction going on outside grr). Both my classes were "eh", although i'm sure they will get better. I seriously thought i was going to have to excuse myself to go puke in my first class (Planning Improvements for Public Organizations) i felt so nauseous. I called Caryn after class to see how she felt (we made dinner the night before) and she was fine, so i knew it wasn't the food... I made another trip to the Advising Office to no avail, and then headed to my next class. On my way i ran into Screws & Christine (with whom i made tentative lunch plans with) and then Sean & Laurel in the Studen Union. I made it to Sociology of Domestic Violence 5 min. late and damn- i was lucky to find a seat. The place was packed. But yeah- biggest waste of time. I was there a whole 15 min. and we were then let go. So i called Christine and met up again w/ her and Screws. With them were BS and Will, and some fellow Greek aquaintance (Beth). After getting Chik-Fil-A and listening to the group banter back and forth, i felt much better :) Then it was time for work. Imagine how stupid i felt when i couldn't find my car in the garage (ungh! OH THERE IT IS!)Home, had a cold front blow thru in 1hr forcing me to completely change, work, home again to change back into normal clothes and then off to night class (Urban Administration). Saw Sonny in the parking garage at work. I couldn't find the damn portable, walked in the wrong class(Delinquency Control anyone?), froze my ass off searching outside and then walked into the right class, late. I had to sit in the front and of course, the teacher had to stand RIGHTABOVEME, just that close, the entire time. And he held us 1.5 hrs. I wanted to shoot myself. I had already decided before leaving the class that i would be dropping it. A 4000 level PAD course, for 3 hrs. at night- what the hell was i thinking?! I was so glad to come home and just PLOP. I ate my leftovers, had a nice warm shower and then called it a freakin' night!

Today was a mix of the past 2 days. Morning went smoothly- clothes to wear, a place to park, early on campus, ran into Jason again (i have a feeling this will become routine, as he works the same garage the days i park there for class. At least i won't have to worry about a parking ticket!). Pluses to the morning: paid my tuition, got my override, made it to class on time. Minuses: my scholarship hasn't gone thru yet so i had to calculate what i was paying for tuition. My overdue library fine, which i thought was only circa $5-$8 ended up being $24 !!! (apparently it's $0.25 PER BOOK, per day it's overdue. And i had 6 books. stupid stupid lisa ...) Yeah, so i got ass-raped by the library *ratchem fratchem*. I asked the cashier to break a 2 for me- a 10, a 5 and 5 ones, so i could get a bottle of water. Stuffed a single bill into my jeans pocket. I get to the vending machine and realize there's no dollar in my pocket. GRRRR!!!! Class was at least somewhat interesting today. Came home, made a sandwhich, changed, went to work. Work was aggravating, but not unbearable. Met a woman (Jamie)who used to work for AESF 10 yrs ago and only came by to say hi to Kathy, but ended up interviewing with Jon for Karen's old receptionist position. I decided that for a first impression, Jamie made a good one. I sort of hope she gets hired- at least she sorta knows the ropes and seems decent enough.

So now i'm home. I've changed my sheets, put away clothes that've been piling, organized my planner for the semester and started to clean my bathroom. And have now watched 2 consecutive hrs worth of Law and Order hehe. I should be reading for tomorrow's classes, but wanted to update instead. I feel that i've been overly productive the past 3 days and needed to sneak some laziness in. ;)

You can all put your eyeballs back in your heads now, b/c i'm done. I think the shower is calling me, and then, if i feel like it, i will read for class (riiiiight). *muah muah muah* hope all is well with y'all!
