sweet laziness!

Forwarning: this is long!

I've been home in Wellington now officially a week and a few days. It's been a very welcome vacation! No school, no stupid work, and no being bored/alone in Orlando.

Most of my time has been spent with Erin & Rachel :) So far we've done the gift exchange, lunch @ Yanno's (I've lived in wellington 7 almost 8 yrs now and have NEVER eaten there. It's a crime, i know...)and then playing Vengeful Uno at Erin's later (what, Draw Two? HA! REVERSE BACK TO YOU! *muahaha*)... ummm oh yeah then the 3 of us went and visited Lindsay & Sheldon. There we played Catch Phrase, and Rach & i totally dominated over Erin & Lindsay (hehe, b/c we had the power of the GREEN playing piece! And Buck Naked, nooo it's TOAST Lisa!). Rach and i spent a lovely (albeit very windy!) afternoon at the beach on Saturday. It was amusing- a guy running in a red speedo, annoying seagulls, and then sandy pizza. But we had good Girl Time :)I'm supposed to get together with them today, but no word yet.

Saturday night i was supposed to go to my Uncle's basketball game (he's the Varsity coach at the new HS, Palm Beach Central i think) but then decided i didn't want to drive. So i went over to Joe's around 9ish. Already there were Joe, Cin, Jess, Austin (sans Kittie, she'd already left), Plato & Ashley. Jess & Cin left, but then Jenn Schunatz & Long Island showed up. The best part of the night was when i drove Austin & Plato to get more beer at Publix. Austin is already 22, but looks like he's about 18 hehe. He was the one purchasing the beer and the cashier lady totally didn't believe that he was 22. She sold the beer to us anyways, but then was exceptionally rude and told us to "get the hell outta here" (!!!) Yeesh.

Back at Joe's it was just more of the usual- 8 different conversations going on at once, the guys getting drunk, and then picking on Austin. (Joe & Plato barricaded him in the downstairs bathroom by shoving a mattress in front of the door. This then led to Austin attacking them w/ hairspray from the slot not covered by the mattress, and then throwing various objects at them- combs and TP mostly haha.) I didn't drink b/c i had to drive back home. But i had a good time just goofing off and then talking w/ Jenn. I hadn't planned on staying there that long, but by the time i was home it was 1:30am!

Erica and i finally managed to catch-up a bit as well. She and Derek both managed to call me Saturday while i was in the shower so i missed both calls (BOO). Erica i called after i got back from Joe's. It was humorous- me sitting in my car, in my PJs and grossly oversized UCF sweatshirt, talking to her. I had to sit in my car b/c i get NO reception whatsoever in my house, and it was too freakin' cold to sit outside. So the car it was. She was meeting up with Bob tho, so we decided to pick the convo back up the next day. After i got back from Applebees yesterday i called her and this turned into me sitting in my driveway outside for almost an hour praying that it wouldn't start raining, hehe. (it didn't). I can't wait til she comes to visit!!!!

Derek and i have been playing phone tag. I called him to see what our plans were for New Years (if i was still even included in whatever plans), and he called me back when i was in the shower. So i called him back and left another message. We still don't have any official plans and are both slightly annoyed at everyone else's lack of motivation to get it together... but since he didn't mention doing something by himself/ without me (and was profusely apologetic at not returning my phone call sooner), i'm assuming that i am still included in the evening, unless told otherwise. I have decided that either way, i'm going back up to Orlando to party. I'll either be with him & Darla, Sterling & Ben, or the rest of the TKE's somewhere. My parents have these old Army friends driving down from Georgia who are going to spend New Year's & a few days in WPB. And they have 2 kids- a 14yr daughter & 19yr son. And i already know that if i would have decided to stay in WPB for New Years, i would have been guilt tripped into staying at home and entertaining the kiddies. No thanks. I would rather be in Orlando w/ friends getting shitty! ;)

Yesterday (Sunday) i managed to kill 2 birds w/ one stone. I hung out & did the gift exchange w/ Sam Adams in the afternoon. We just sat & talked a bit and i played some with Chugs. We were both starving tho, so we made a lunch stop at Applebees, yummmm. Our waitress was nice but i scared her at one point. I was telling Sam the story about Austin & the cashier from the night before, and just as i got to the part where the cashier told us to "get the hell outta here", the waitress walked to our table and apparently thought i was talking to her!!!! I felt bad, but she realized i didn't mean her, hehe...

After Applebees i just went home and vegged, i was soooo tired. I had promised Cesar tho that i would see him over the weekend, so around 9ish Vin came and picked me up and we drove out to Cesar's. We ended up watching this totally retarded (yet funny) movie called "Kung Paow". Yeah... I can't even describe it. Afterwards tho, we were standing outside and making jokes from the movie. I decided it was a good time to go home around 1am, so Vin took me back then.

This entire week i've been feeling very nostalgic lol... and while i have the book Erin gave me for my birthday ( Wicked ), i'm having a really hard time getting into it. So in order to solve my craving for reading & nostalgia, i've been reading really really old kiddie books i got back in like... 5th-8th grade. It's great- i can read a whole book in like, 1-2 hours. And what's even better is that i still get the same mental pictures in my head for the stories as i did when i first read them! :) Yay for being easily amused with simple pleasures! Go ahead and laugh- i realize it's very "regressive" (is that correct?), but y'all know me: i delight in simple things! I finished my 3rd book last night. So now it's either start another one, or finally just go to Waldenbooks/ Barnes & Noble and get a book more age-appropriate. Ahh, we'll see.

Well... i'm still waiting impatiently for my brother to return with my car. I let him borrow it yesterday to drive up to Vero to see his girlfriend. He called around 1ish to say he was heading back in a bit and he has yet to pull into our driveway. This makes me nervous (and more impatient.) I still have a gift certif. to blow at the mall *muahaha*

Alright, this mammoth update is long enough. Hope y'all can still see lol. Ooh, and my brother just came home. YAY CAR ;) TaTa For Now my darlings!
