Methotrexate, Day 1.2

Apr 20, 2010 20:18

Ugh. Ick. Bleagh.

Took ginger last night before bed, along with lots of water, and slept in the wristbands. Slept for about 10 hours, in fact. Felt pretty good when I got up, just a bit of stomach hurting and a sinus headache likely from the weather, so I took the wristbands off. That was apparently a mistake.

By 5p, queasiness was back with a vengeance, so bad that the smell of simmering soup was too much for me. Back in the wristbands now, and had applesauce and yogurt and a variety of crackers instead. Much less queasy now, but stomach is still very wonky.

On the plus side, I'm not actually throwing up or anything, I just feel lousy. I took Tylenol and B-12 and a B-complex supplement at various points today, and will likely have another dose of Tylenol soon. I've largely spent the day on the couch, with brief forays into stripping, laundering, and remaking the bed and digging out bedding for the houseguest who comes tomorrow and putting away dishes. Eventually I will have to wash dishes and clean the litterbox, but I think those will wait for tomorrow.

Thw wristbands are uncomfortable and irritate the already touchy nerves in my right wrist, but are clearly very necessary right now. Hopefully as the week goes on and I get further from dosing day, I can stop wearing them. They are much better than the alternative.
