I wonder if it was a bad idea to watch the director's interview before watching the film... but i think that it was good that i was able to understand that he shows so many walking scenes so that the audience can have time to think.
but i didnt have much to think about actually... whenever some element that might have caused the two boys to kill ppl showed up, i was like, "yeah, its so bad that kids go home to an empty house." or "yeah, its a bad idea to do shooting games." but i didnt have anything else to think about... it seems the incident wasnt as shocking to me as to other ppl coz when the incident occurred, i was thinking that thouse kind of incidents already had occurred.
anyway, i loved the way many stories are interwoven (we see the same scenes a couple of times on different characters' view), but some characters (like the girl who showed up only at the class or the black guy who showed up only in the end) werent not important enough to be introduced, i thought. so i gave "good will hunting" and "finding forrester" from the same director, gus van sant, 5/5, but this wasnt as good maybe because it wasnt scripted.
