Thought this was due...
Haven't updated in a long time so here goes:
Nick and I got back together. Things have changed a lot, mostly for the better. Our relationship is different in the fact that we actually communicate now and let each other now when we have issues. I also don't blow up overy every little thing now, which helps. We're moving in together in February. Super excited about that. He quit his job due to pay issues, which is extremely stressful considering we're re-doing the entire house, but I'm trusting him that things will get better. And they will.
Work is still pretty good. Just biding time until I go to school.
Hous stuff: Nick and I are moving into the house I used to live in out in Hazel Park. Grea thouse but the renter that was in there trashed it so we have to re-do a lot. Finishing up the bathroom right now, which I was lucky with cause my grandma paid to re-do that. We gutted the entire thing and we got a new bathtub, toilet and sink and vanity. All new fixtures too, it's pretty gorgeous now. I decided to paint it a lime green, really bright and fun, I love it. I think Nick has caved and realized that bright colors all over the house will be great since he liked the green so much. Right now we're redoing the cabinets in the kitchen and buying new cabinets for one part of it. We got a new stove and microwave too! All sleek in black, fabulous! We're also re-finishing the floors since we found hardwood underneath the carpet. And I get to have a sewing room!!! I'm very excited about that. We're probably turning the basement into a movie theater as well. Nick found a projector and screen pretty cheap, and then all we need is the media center computer and that will be amazing, I've always wanted a theater. It's going to be a gorgeous house when we're through, and it will be all ours! Hopefully we'll throw a big housewarming party.
Home is ok, I hang out with my dad a lot because of the house and I'm very happy about that. I've also been spending more time with Erin, which I've missed.
I got my very first set of practice poi! I have been practicing and I get frustrated, but it's very relaxing and fun to try new tricks. Hopefully by Burning Man next year I will have advanced to try out my first fire spin.
I'm auditioning for Hell's Belles burlesque troupe in January. Need to get working on an act, but I'm pretty sure I'll be doing "These boots were made for walking" by Nancy Sinatra. I'm super excited, but also nervous for that.
I got a new tattoo. I got the word "chubby" on my stomach. It's hilarious and perfect and exactly what I needed. It makes me more confident of my body and makes me want to show it off. Corey does amazing work. I'll post pics soon.
I don't know what else. I need to go work on Erin's Hannukah present and then I'll probably watch a movie. Much Love!
