Taxes....*grrr*....and other

I just want to say that I really hate taxes! It always seems like everyone I know gets a refund, and I never do. I just got done filing mine and as usual, I always owe money. I know it isn't THAT much, but still I feel like, "Oh sure, kick a guy when they're already down!" Not to mention that unemployment benefits is taxable too, which I didn't withhold any taxes on it cuz I get so little anyway and I need it. What a crock!

Anyway, I feel like I'm complaining when I come on here and I'm sorry. Just life has pretty much sucked the last few months. In a way not working and getting free money is nice but....it's boring sitting around. And I hate being lazy. Really, I'd RATHER be busy at a job and actually earning my income.

As I said though, I am volunteering. I will be volunteering for a different organization next month in addition to the Humane Society, which involves some graphic design projects and more office work. Unless of course, I land a job before that and the hours conflict with the volunteering schedule.

I also try to stay occupied around the house, and no I don't mean by simply watching tv and playing video games (that gets boring too). Lately we've been doing some Spring cleaning, and pretty much cleaned up the entire apartment. We also rearranged it a bit, putting the sofa, tv, tables, shelves, in different spots. We even bought an inexpensive shelf to arrange some of the random crap that was lying around the apartment, nice and organized.

Lastly, another thing that helps keep my mind and body occupied is exercise. I do lots of workout dvds at home. I am also trying to loose a few lbs (I've been eating healthier), ;-) The kinds of workouts I do are usually advanced level, so I usually work up quite a sweat and burn lots of calories. My favorite workouts are step aerobics, bootcamp, kickboxing (Tae-bo & other), strength-training (with dumbells) and toning (pilates/yoga). It'd also be nice to have access to a gym but obviously can't afford that right now. I like working out outside in the warmer months as well.
