.....errr actually, I'm already here! Lemmie back up a minute. A month ago I packed up my car with as much schidt as I could and moved out of sucky old Indiana to Seattle, Washington! No really, it's no joke!
How it all went down:
It was a big descision, one I thought over for a couple of months when I got back from the March trip in which I visited Andrew Modeen and saw the new TMNT movie with him. On that same trip I had sent out resumes and interviewed with various graphic/printing co's. Well while I was still on the trip I had gotten a call back from one of them. I was interviewed and shown around the co., even walked thru the warehouse area. At that point I was pretty much offered a digital/print production position with a nice hourly wage. This is the standard entry level type of job in a co. of this nature. Although I was also wanted because of my vector drawing/graphic skills (showed 'em my portfolio). So I went with that. I kept in contact with the head lady at this co. and she pretty much promised me work but some of the time it would be in production. They are always needing more help due to the workloads in that area.
After much emotional drama from my family, I decided to move onward. I felt it was a great opportunity and I really liked Seattle when I was out here a few months back. Plus, I also have great friends out here, and I'm making more at my job! Got so sick of the boring ol' no-jobs Midwest, glad to leave it behind. Although I do miss family and friends of course. I still keep in contact with everyone. Also my cell# has changed to a local #, just so ya know.
Was staying with Andrew at his pad for about a month till I got on my feet and started earning money. Now I've found a place to live, rooming with this lady in her house. I get my own bedroom, shared high-speed internet on their network, and even my own private bathroom! Pretty sweet place too for an affordable price.
Sorry I've been quiet for soooooooo long about this, but this is the 'thing' I was keeping under wraps, till I knew for SURE I was gonna go thru with this. No false alarms this time. I didn't want to update till I knew I was gonna stick with it and be out here for while. Well I have and will be out here for a while. Sofar I love it. On the clear days Mt Rainier is a beauty to behold! I do hope to come home for a visit either in the summer or around Labor Day. Also hoping to get certain peeps to come visit me, ;)
Pics soon, I promise!
