Cut off from the world...
We discovered our land line is down. Ed and I, being Old Farts, have totally panicked. We are honestly sitting here feeling like we are cut off from the world and, for some reason, that our electricity is going to go next -- or something. So, despite having three cell phones in the house, numerous devices that connect to the internet, and neighbors very near, we feel like we are on an island of isolation.
Plus Tornadic Teen thinks it is funny that we have to call the phone company because our phone is out. Had to tell him it was a lot funner when you actually had to leave the house to make a call at the neighbor's or a pay phone.
I want to make coffee, but think the coffee maker won't work. Why is that?
