Trust issues
I've had two experiences in the past week that have me thinking about trusting strangers and both happened to be at coffee shops. Last week I was at a Coffee Bean in Fullerton working on my laptop during my lunch break. There was another woman there on her lunch break and she got up to use the restroom and left her laptop on the table while she went. I was so surprised to see that. Then today I was a Starbucks in Anaheim waiting for my coffee and a woman who was sitting outside got up to use the restroom inside and left her purse, keys and phone on the table in plain sight. My jaw just about hit the floor. I am always conscious of where my belongings are when I'm in a public place and wouldn't leave my purse or laptop for even a second. Am I just paranoid? Or were those women just overly trusting of strangers?
