1 month - 6 pounds = happy Lis

I've been trying to eat better and exercise more for just about a month now (it will be a month on the 3rd), and I'm down about 6 pounds. Not spectacular, but I'm happy with it. If I can just stay at this rate, in 3 more months I will be very happy with my weight. Hopefully Thanksgiving and Christmas won't blow me out of the water. Or my birthday, which is coming up real soon.

I'm not sure if it's because I've really cut back on the sugar (and somewhat on the tea/caffeine), but I only had very minor cramps this month, which was nice. That time of month is almost over, and I'm hoping once it's done, I'll be past the little plateau I've hit on my weight loss.

Anyway, things are going pretty good here. I got to see a lot of my family on the Champagne side on Sunday, when my Uncle Kenneth and Aunt Eloise celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on the Queen Mary. Got to see lots of cousins and aunts and uncles, my dad, and two of my sisters and their kids. There was a huge buffet, but I think I managed to eat pretty healthily given the choices, and I only had a couple nibbles of the chocolate cake with raspberry filling, and one small glass of Pepsi.

Next Thursday, jevvim is going to drop me off at Disneyland to play for my birthday while he has to work, and then we will either do a nice dinner that night or maybe delay that until the weekend. He seems to be planning something, but I don't want to be too nosey. :D I like surprises!

exercise, eating right
