I'm not a big fan of the horror movie genre, but my daughter Hannah is. When my BIL asked if we'd like to check this show out, we said "sure!"...I mean...what did we have to lose? All I can say now is, wow! I have never been to a Star Trek convention, but this had to be akin to that...only with goth clothed attendees. It was bizarre to say the least...the mom from "E.T." was there, as was the original "Jason" from Friday the 13th, and clearly a slew of others, but honestly, out of costume, they look like regular joes. Mike Anderson from "Carnivale" and "Twin Peaks" was there, and I got to shake his wee little hand...
Here is is signing "Let's Rock" on a photo of himself dancing backwards, which was his thing on Twin Peaks. She'd be pissed if she knew I'd posted her ass here, so let's move on to this guy:
Hannah recognized him from scores of horror flicks, and I remembered him from the Motley Crue video for "Smoking in the Boys Room". He was awesome, and told Hannah tales of seeing Gwar the night before.
Finally, Pinhead from "Hellraiser". Honestly, I was taken aback by how handsome he was without all those pins in his face! And Emily was overcome with having herself photographed with a "celebrity"...
Ok, so the real reason we went to Worcester was for Mike's birthday celebration...done with authentic chili con carne and big ass margaritas that knocked us on our asses...but not too much that we couldn't try to kill a pinata in the back yard afterwards!
Happy Birthday, Mike Hsu!
Ok, lastly I will post some photos of my favorite house in Old Deerfield...because I can and because it's just so decked out in a totally natural way that I dig...
The coolest thing about these enormous pumpkins is that for Halloween they WILL carve them into jack o'lanters...I will have to go back for that...very cool.
It's getting very cool, actually. It happens so fast. I actually broke down and put on the heat today for the first time. I hate to break down before the end of the month, but there truly WAS frost on the pumpkins!
