Returning the prom dress?
Eeeps. So the dad saw my prom dress today. it has no back and has some laced up strings to keep it on, and it kinda cuts in on the sides. I did not think any human's eyebrows could be raised THAT high in disapproval. I had it on for my mom to see, and she walked up the stairs and said "ooooh my goooosh..." and of course, the dad followed two minutes later. There was no where to hide!! I was trapped in their room. So, he comes up, and doesn't totally hate it, until I drop the shawl that's covering my back. SO busted.
And, he hates my shoes too. They're bright turquoise and high and have a clear wedge heel. So many characteristics for him to not like (he's so picky bout what shoes I wear, he used to be a shoe salesman in college.) So, now that my mom and I went to the mall to get everything needed, I may be returning it ALL because the dress.
I guess, the less of a fan my dad is of my dress, then the more of a fan my date will be!!
We'll see. But, it was so good to get out of the house today after a week of laying on the couch. Of course, I did sleep until 4.30...in the afternoon. And on the upside, I ate a whole meal today, well pretty close to a normal sized meal. Which is a good sign that my health is improving, even if just a little.
