I went out with my sisters to celebrate my birthday. It was on Monday, but I had studying to do and papers to write, so we partied tonight. I went to the Artful Dodger first to relax after a long week.
Then my sisters picked me up and we headed to Mainstreet Bar and Grill. Ladies night!
Haha, a LOT of sketch guys there. They kept trying to dance with us, and no thanks. I kept putting my arms around Erin and getting her away from them. Also, Heather convinced me to dance with her on the stage speaker...
There were these four guys right behind me for a while. Obviosuly they thought I was deaf and couldn't hear them talking baout how they were gonna dance with me. One kept creeping up closer, and I heard him tallking to his friends about "easing into it" and like gettting closer without me realizing it, and that I would just be all about dancing with him. Uh, no. Other guys would grab Emily/Heather's hand and try pulling them to him. A guy did that to Melissa, and she immediately looked at me for help, I claimed her as my own dance partner. One guy did tap my shoulder and ask, and if I were willing to dance with any of the guys there, he'd have been it. But, nope.
I love my sisters (and soon to be sisters) so much. I never thought I'd be in a sorority, but they are different. We're all a little neurotic (except kathy who seems perfectly sane) but I know that I love to have good times with them, and there's no one I'd rather bicker with. And Teresa was telling me what bigs/littles were for, and was describing how you can take a bad day out on your little (me) and it be perfectly acceptable. Sounds like an abusive relationship! Not really though, she's one of my biggest supporters I've ever had.
It was such a good night, then I had Chris walk me back across campus=)
I get my present from him tomorrow--we're going to the mall to pick it out. I'm excited.
PS- K-PO!!! Girl, I ADORE YOU! I'm so bummed you couldn't visit, but there's still time to come, even if it's next year. No matter when, even years down the road, there is always a place for you at my place. That package, (and my card, the magnet is on my fridge!) just absolutely rocked my world. I'm putting a picture of you and I from homecoming last year in the frame. You're awesome!
Off to bed
