Here we go, these are my goals.
*Graduate JMU with a BA in Sociology. Minor in spec ed...maybe a year early?
(hopefully be fluent in Russian by this time)
*Take a year off of school then, and go into the Peace Corps. In Russia probably.
*Come back to JMU, get masters in spec ed with teaching certificate, by this time, be fluent in ASL
*Teach for a good couple years
*Move up in the school hierarchy to administration and build my own program, or be at the level where I have the power to improve current programs.
*Have a family in there somewhere after grad school.
Is this too hard? Can I do it? I don't know much about the Peace Corps, but I'm looking into it, and I don't know if I have the strength to do spec ed for the rest of my life, emotionally wise. Also, is it just too much? I know it makes me sound like a total overachiever....
Also, am I foolish to try to make a difference? Meaning, do you believe that one person can *actually* make a difference? I've been mulling this over lately.
on a funner note, today is four years. =)
I should go do work, I'm so far behind!!
