It's official!
Wow, what a couple months it's been in the Dusapin household. I didn't want to write anything until I felt a little more secure with things, so here goes.
I'm pregnant!!!
I am about 8 1/2 weeks along, and had my second ultrasound today. I got to see our baby moving around, and finally saw it's little arms and legs! It's amazing to me that I can already see it move. We could also see it's heartbeat which was just so amazing.
I think I'm still in shock. I am not sure that it's really sunk in yet. We went on vacation to CA for 10 days last week. I was sick part of the time, and felt like an 80 year old because I had to take so many naps, but it was nice to get away for a bit. Although it was HOT! (98 degrees in October?) I was worried about how our trip would affect me though, so I wanted to make sure everything was ok when we got home.
I am sad because now I have to leave my wonderful RE office and find an OB. I think I am leaning towards going to Northwest Hospital at Northgate, but have also considered Evergreeen at Kirkland. Northgate is so much closer to us though, so I may go there. If any of you Mom's have a great recommendation for an OB though I'm open to suggestion!
So this is a huge new phase of our lives. We are nervous because my job is not very stable right now. I'm hoping that after the elections maybe the economy will turn around and people will start buying houses again. We are also going to have to move before the baby comes in June because we live in a very old place with no dishwasher or washer/dryer in the unit. So on to the search for a new place to live! Actually I think I'll wait until after the holidays to do that.
Anyway, I just wanted to let everyone know that we are ready to embark on this really exciting journey. It's been over a year of waiting, and we are so excited!
