Yep, I still need to go finish my Twinkie Town rotation, but I still have not really been in the proper frame of mind to deal with a household of mourning sims and their pets so I split my Sims time between reading Skellington's excellent story (I've read all the posted chapters now and can't wait until she updates!) and finishing up the makeovers I started in Pleasantview. I just couldn't leave the rest of the playables with their normal Maxis looks after I gave make-overs to the first few so... time for more pictures!
Brandi Broke and her boys Dustin and Beau. When I first started playing the game I went into the Broke household early, not realizing that Brandi was expecting. It wasn't pretty. I didn't have the timing down or enough skills to keep a single CAS created adult out of aspiration failure and alive let alone deal with a pregnant sim with a toddler and a moody teenager. After things fell apart in a really horrible fashion I quietly exited without saving and didn't come back to play her house again for a long time. ~chuckle~ Over time I've come to really enjoy Brandi and her boys though- the last incarnation of PV play with the Brokes, Brandi married gardener Leo Deppiesse and they ended up having 3 girls, Rose, Violet and Daisy. Troubled Dustin got his act together and he and his teen sweetheart Angela Pleasant went off to college together and got engaged. Beau brought home and made friends with child townie Marsha Bruening and after aging her up to teen with Beau she eventually moved in with the family so she could work on her college scholarships- she and Beau ended up being each others first kiss. Her third son, the one she is pregnant with at the start of the game, has gotten different names each time he's been born, but has always been a favorite of mine. He's been matched up with Lucy Burb a number of times.
As the sometimes boyfriend to Lilith Pleasant I've played Dirk Dreamer's house a few times around, but not nearly as much as the other households in town. Truth be told, Dirk himself has never been that interesting to me (which is probably why he hasn't always ended up with Lilith who I like a lot), but I enjoy his Dad, Darren, well enough, though he was my one and only attempt to see if a satellite really would fall on you if you lay outside and watched the clouds- it didn't and I felt kind of cheated. Darren and Cassandra have been matched up a few times in my game, the last time Dirk got furious with his father for cheating on his dead mother/fooling around with his Cass, his new wife, and I spent ages worrying he was going to run away until Cassie gave birth to twin girls and Dirk bonded with his baby sisters.
The Goths probably rank right after Don Lothario as my favorites in town. Little Alexander has married into my CAS families a few times, and he is the only sim I have ever actively tried to get abducted by aliens (because he wanted it and I felt bad that his wife was having a blistering affair with George McCarthy, her ex-boyfriend, ex-teen cashier, now Criminal Mastermind). He didn't get abducted, no matter how long he stood out there looking through his expensive telescope (the Aliens loss, because I've never tried again!). Cassandra, as mentioned above has been matched up with Darren Dreamer, she's had her wedding to Don Lothario, she's been jilted by Don Lothario and had a breakdown and then kind of went wild and had a one night stand with unfortunately faced townie Komei Tellerman where she became pregnant (their daughter was surprising attractive!). Mortimer has married Dina Caliente a few times in my game, but the happiest I ever saw him was after Dina starved herself and he needed a live in nanny for his and Dina's twin sons since Cassandra had moved away and he was getting up there in age and I afraid he was going to die and the babies were going to get taken by the Social Worker before I could get somebody there to stop it. I despise the in-game nannies so I created an adult female CAS sim to move in and care for the kids and it just so happened that Mort and Nanny Jordan had 3 bolts. He fell for her hard and was allowed to drink a lot of Elixir of Life so they could get married and have a couple children of their own. The kids were adorable!
As I mentioned in Part 1 the Pleasant family parents kind of frustrated me. Daniel and Mary Sue have broken up, they have lived together in 2 separate rooms, they have tried to rekindle their relationship and have another baby (which turned out to be 2 black haired boys who looked like Mary Sue and drove home the fact that the game's creator's were lazy with the genetics of the created Gen 2 kids since as they were set in the game Lilith and Angela could never have really been Mary Sue's children). Daniel has lived with his sister Jennifer's family before and was once set up on a blind date with one of the Social Workers, which amused me to no end. Mary Sue's parents, Herb and Coral Oldie have lived in their own cottage with a spare room for Lilith and they have lived in the Pleasant house in nice little in-law suite a number of times to give their support to their granddaughter and do things like teach her to do her homework and to cheer got her when she finally got her grades out of the toilet.
