Three Things

Feb 13, 2009 06:43

1) Despite urban legends to the contrary, Friday the 13th can be a very auspicious day. Friday is named after Frigga, the Norse version of Venus (well, sort of) and 13 is the number of moons in a year, a number sacred to those who kept/keep the Old Ways. May this Friday the 13th bring you good luck and good news!

2) Dollhouse premieres tonight. WOOHOO! My little Whedon-loving heart is happy.

3) Here's a quote  from President Calvin Coolidge, for your consideration:

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan 'Press On' has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.
