Here comes the rain again
And I'm loving it, especially after a weekend in San Diego, where the weather was a balmy 76 and a warm breeze swayed through the palms. It was the perfect weather for my friend's outdoor wedding at the Safari Park, but it felt like summer and I'm in total fall mode.
It was a super busy weekend with travel, the wedding rehearsal on Friday and the event itself on Saturday evening. But the Safari Park is cool - nothing like watching a herd of rhinos jog by or seeing the baby elephants playing together - and we were treated to an animal show during cocktail hour. The golden eagle was gorgeous, and I loved being so close to a cheetah that I could hear him purr.
The DH and I are both off today. We're planning to set ourselves up with easy-prep meals for the week and then do some relaxing. I have manuscript edits to wrap by Friday, and he has a busy week ahead, too. So I think, once the shopping/cooking is done, we may take a time-out and watch the pilot of American Horror Story, which is waiting on our increasingly crowded DVR.
