Absence Parte Dos
I'll admit, I'm kinda glad I'll be in the wilderness for 9/11 because there is no way I'll be able to take all the media over it without snapping. Was it horrible? Absolutely. Many people died. It was a tragedy. But so were the Spain tunnel bombings, the tsunami, and countless other horrible things. We cannot mourn them all, and the idea of mourning only this incident because the targets were American sickens me a bit. So for the '5th anniversary', I'm in the middle of nowhere, and I must say I'll be happy if I can just stay with some friends, chatter, and forget for the day.
So, where I work, they are giving out these little Nintendo DS pink bracelets for free. As an employee, they let me take two. At the gas station, some lady asked me "oh, what cause is that?", because it looks like the yellow Amstrong cancer bracelets. I told her it was breast cancer, because I do have one of those on my other wrist, and because telling her "Nintendo DS Lite Coral Pink!" would make me look like an ass. Which I mostly do, but whatever.
I made my sales quota today. I'm loving my new manager (though I still miss my supervisor). He brought me a smoothie today and arranged my schedule so the stress does not kill me deader than dead.
So excited for the Wii. I have the money stacked away for it already. It's going to kick Sony and Microsoft's asses, because it's a) Nintendo and b) saving your games isn't a hundred dollar surcharge.
